A tribute to Ken O'Brien. It's September 21st 1986 and Dan Marino (1984) and Ken O'Brien (1985) were the previous year's highest rated QB's in the NFL. The last time they met, Ken O'Brien passed for 393 yards in a losing effort to Dan Marino who passed for 362 yards and a game winning 50 yard touchdown pass with less than a minute in regulation. Ken O'Brien got his revenge the next time they met and in doing so he combined for 10 touchdowns and an NFL record 927 yards passing with Dan Marino (recently broke on September 12th 2011 with 933 yards and only 6TDs). This is one of the greatest games in NFL history.

July 1987 - Family Day Scrimmage and Stadium 'Preview' - The Miami Dolphins opened up the 1987 season in the new Joe Robbie Stadium. During training camp that year, Miami held a special Family Day, allowing fans to preview the stadium before it was completed and officially opened on August 16th vs the Chicago Bears.
Miami Children's Hospital Dan Marino Center is a center for the comprehensive evaluation and treatment of children with special needs. The Center, developed as a partnership between the Dan Marino Foundation and Miami Children's Hospital, is a not-for-profit entity fully owned by Miami Children's Hospital. Since this center's inception in 1998, it has grown rapidly and is now providing neurological and developmental services to children throughout South Florida as well as South America and Europe.
