DEATHROW - Raging Steel

Raging Steel (1987) "Now the dawn rises, the tension awakes Silence falls over the plain Thousands of knights are facing each other To fight for the heathen´s domain Nobody knows what is to come The suspense is growing with fear Everyone is prepared to give his life They feel the battle is near The final judgement will say you are right Right to do all you have done Just an illusion against any remorse Given by the "holy ones" Believers fought a war without sense Killed and were killed by the force Of raging steel The leaders has giventhe sign to fight Now the crowds are moving on Both sides are meeting, hate and contempt So many lives will be lost Screams and cries, orders and shouts Echo over the mass Dying bodies among raging steel Fighting and dying for nothing The final judgement will say you are right Right to do all you have done Just an illusion against any remorse Given by the "holy ones" Believers fought a war without sense Killed and were killed by the force Of raging steel Murderers under the sign of the cross Crusaders with orders to kill Searching for heathens in the holy land The plans of the church to fulfill Blinded by words of priests and popes The lie of a life after death Too blind to see that each God you pray to Doesn´t mean nothing-but hope [Lead-Sven & Thomas] [Lead-Thomas] [Lead-Sven] [Lead-Thomas] [Lead-Sven] The leaders has giventhe sign to fight Now the crowds are moving on Both sides are meeting, hate and contempt So many lives will be lost ...
Welcome To Deathrow Record's Documentary - [Part 1]

In the late '80's, producer Andre "Dr. Dre" Young was a member of the gangsta rap group NWA, signed to fellow member Eric "Eazy-E" Wright's Ruthless Records. As head of production at the label, Dre produced a large number of Ruthless projects, many of them high-selling; feeling the pressures of having to produce so many acts, Dre became interested Ruthless[3]. After the departure of Ice Cube over financial disagreements with Heller[4], artist and friend The DOC and friend Suge Knight went over the books with a lawyer. Convinced that Heller was dishonest, they approached Young about forming a label with them, away from Heller and Eazy-E[5]. Allegedly using strong-arm tactics, Knight was able to procure contracts from Eazy for The DOC, Dr. Dre and singer Michel'le[6]. Knight approached successful rapper Robert "Vanilla Ice" Van Winkle, using management connections with rapper Mario "Chocolate" Johnson, claiming that Johnson had written and produced the song, and had not received credit or royalties for the song.[7] Knight and two bodyguards arrived at The Palm in West Hollywood, where Van Winkle was eating. After shoving Van Winkle's bodyguards aside, Knight and his own bodyguards sat down in front of Van Winkle, staring at him before finally asking "How you doin'?"[7] Similar incidents were repeated on several occasions before Knight showed up at Van Winkle's hotel suite on the fifteenth floor of the Bel Age Hotel, accompanied by Johnson and a member of the Oakland Raiders ...

A Saint on Death Row by Thomas Cahill

On October 26, 2004, Dominique Green, thirty, was executed by lethal injection in Huntsville, Texas. Arrested at the age of eighteen in the fatal shooting of a man during a robbery outside a Houston convenience store, Green may have taken part in the robbery but always insisted that he did not pull the trigger. The jury, which had no African Americans on it, sentenced him to death. Despite obvious errors in the legal procedures and the protests of the victims family, he spent the last twelve years of his life on Death Row. Welcome to Death Row - Part 1 (HD)

This extraordinary documentary details the rise and the fall of the original gangster rap label Death Row Records. What makes this movie so powerful is just how much information it actually has in it. The movie starts out talking about NWA, Eazy E, and Dr. Dre as a prelude to the springing of Death Row Records. A lot of time is dedicated to the roots of Death Row Records, how they got their original funding and the men behind Suge Knight, Harry 'O' (Michael Harris), and attorney David Kenner. The movie covers the making of the Chronic and Doggystyle extensively. They go into Snoop's trial, the departure of RBX and DOC The East Vs. West and Source Awards confrontation is covered, and over course the infusion of 2pac to Death Row. 2pac's murder is thorough but isn't in depth, but this isn't meant to be a 2pac murder doc...its an overall take on Death Row Records and what had happened to the once successful rap label. As far as attitude goes, this is a very hard movie. The editing, the music, everything about the production of the DVD is great. One of the highlights to the DVD is the special features. Their are extensive interviews with people closely involved with the Death Row company. This documentary is recommended to any music fan, who either likes these artists or has an interest in the music business and wants to know what mistakes not to make.

Death Row Inmates Tell Their Stories in New Book

The US state with the busiest death chamber and one of the largest prison populations is Texas, where public-opinion polls show the death penalty is supported by more than 70 percent of the population. A new book, put together by students at a Texas university, compiles writings and art work done by condemned prisoners. The book, "Upon This Chessboard of Nights and Days: Voices from Texas Death Row" was published by Texas Review Press, which is based on the campus of Sam Houston State University in Huntsville. That city, about 100 kilometers north of Houston, is also the location of one of the state's largest prisons and the unit where executions are carried out. As VOA's Greg Flakus reports from Huntsville, the book provides a rare view into the minds of men who await their moment in the death chamber.

INSIDE Texas Death Row - Hell on Earth

An inside look into death row in Texas. Inmates are held in unending solitary confinement, given rotten food to eat, deprived of sleep and often subjected to pepper spray by guards. When a person is sentenced to death they spend an average of 10 years on death row before they actually get executed. This video will provide a rare glimpse into death row in Texas, which is a tortuous existence for these men who are under a sentence of death. Remember: These people were sentenced to DEATH, not torture.

Andre Romelle Young (born February 18, 1965), primarily known by his stage name Dr. Dre, is an American record producer, rapper, and record executive. He is the founder and current CEO of Aftermath Entertainment and a former co-owner and artist of Death Row Records, also having produced albums for and overseeing the careers of many rappers signed to those record labels such as Snoop Dogg and Eminem. As a producer he is credited as a key figure in the popularization of West Coast G-funk, a style of rap music characterized as synthesizer-based with slow, heavy beats. After a dispute with Wright, Young left the group at the peak of its popularity in 1991 under the advice of friend, and NWA lyricist, The DOC and his bodyguard at the time, Suge Knight. Knight, a notorious strongman and intimidator, was able to have Wright release Young from his contract and, using Dr. Dre as his flagship artist, found Death Row Records. In 1992 Young released his first single, the title track to the film Deep Cover, a collaboration with rapper Snoop Dogg, whom he met through Warren G.
