I'm sure you have all experienced lost or damaged bags. How could this possibly happen? Well...the number one reason for bags not arriving with the passenger is due to delayed or canceled flights, unfortunately, I am unable to help with this. The number 2 reason, which I am able to assist with, is the small things that you can take care of before getting to the airport. Mainly name tags! I know it seems like common sense to include your name, but you would be surprised how many people has no name what so ever, or phone has been disconnected, or they borrowed their bag from a friend and leave their name tag on. The airline tries to track the name with the flights and if they cannot find a match it goes to storage waiting to be claimed. If it's a common bag, black or blue, it will be pretty difficult to match with lost bag claims, so again, make sure it is easy to find. Remember if your name and correct phone number is with your bag, it cannot be lost.

I flew almost 150000 miles this year. And it took until today, December 22nd, for something positive and worthy of writing about to happen to me. Yes, I could have written an article at least once each week of the year about what not to do based on the crappy service and frequent lies most airlines dish out. But I'd been on the lookout for something great to happen -- something worth sharing. After a weeklong family trip to Park City, Utah, my family and I returned to the Salt Lake City airport eager to get back home for the holidays (that's four of us, seven bags, and a connecting flight through Denver to be exact). Sure enough, our flight was delayed. Not to worry, though -- it was only delayed forty-five minutes and, with a two-hour layover in Denver, we'd be OK. And then the announcements started. Every once in awhile, an announcement would let us know the flight was going to be a little later than expected. In the end, we took off almost ninety minutes late. That's pretty normal. I recommend the water taxi if you need to get to Kansai airport from Kobe - it was fast, easy to get to and relatively cheap. www.kobe-access.co.jp I enjoyed my 30 min ride aboard the boat, then jumped on a bus which took us across the freeway to Kansai airport - found my luggage waiting for me at the "kuro neko" counter - had to pay 5000yen since one of my bags was over 25kgs - and then got on my plane for the trip to Inchon airport in Korea. Everything was fine, but my two hour layover in Korea turned into a 5 hour layover after my connecting flight to LAX was delayed. Cooking with Jazzy - Sous Vide Steak This is a excellent way of making great tasting steaks ahead of time and have them turn out exactly how you like them every time, even if you do get delayed for a bit. Great for hosting dinner party's when things can get a little off course. Ingredients Steak Seasoning (To taste) Oil (Or bacon fat) Instructions Season the steak how you like and vacuum seal it in a bag. If you do not own a vacuum sealer you could use a zip lock bag and suck out as much air as possible and seal. Drop the bag into your water bath with the water at your desired temperature and cook for 4-6 hours. After cooking sous vide for 4-6 hours you may take the steaks out and sear them in oil or as i prefer bacon fat (Bacon makes everything better). ENJOY!
