In der 1993er ZDF-Miniserie über Liebe, Intrigen und Rache ist Marion Kracht in der Rolle der Verena Westfal zu sehen. Durch einen Zufall deckt sie die heimliche Liebesbeziehung zwischen ihrem Mann Werner (Mathieu Carrière) und ihrer Schwester Barbara (Désirée Nosbusch) auf. Zurückgezogen und totgeglaubt plant sie einen teuflischen Rachefeldzug, der das Leben ihres Mannes für immer zerstören soll. Das starbesetzte, vierteilige Krimidrama „Böses Blut" avancierte 1993 zu einem großen Quotenerfolg für ZDF und ORF. 9,61 Millionen Zuschauer schalteten allein im ZDF ein. Die Charaktere Verena und Werner Westfal kannte man zu dieser Zeit bereits aus der ZDF-Serie „Freunde fürs Leben". Böses Blut wurde zum ersten deutschen „Spin-off" (=Ableger) einer Serie. Die Nebendarsteller Verena und Werner Westfal aus der Serie „Freunde fürs Leben" wurden in diesem TV-Mehrteiler mit völlig eigenständiger Handlung zu Hauptcharakteren. INHALT: Verena und Werner Westfal warten sehnsüchtig auf ihr erstes Kind. Doch dann erfährt Verena, was inzwischen alle außer ihr wissen: ihr Mann betrügt sie bei jeder Gelegenheit und gerade im Moment mit ihrer eigenen Schwester Barbara. Wie ein Blitzschlag aus heiterem Himmel trifft Verena die Gewissheit, dass ihr Mann ein Verhältnis mit ihrer Schwester hat. Völlig verstört irrt sie daraufhin durch Lübecks Gassen und stürzt sich lebensmüde <b>...</b>
