Not that hard to beat, the perks of the berserker are very helpful.

I can see how you could have problems with this class, but they're okay if you math it out.

This video is directly continued from where episode 1 left off. It's an artifact of its test video origins. In future videos, I intend to have proper intros and outros bookending every video. Such is the learning process! Also part of the learning process is the awkward screen ratio. I saved this at 480p after some minor editing, but Youtube squished it during the conversion process. :/
The first time entering a real dungeon is a great learning experience. I manage to explore about half the dungeon before my time runs out for the episode, but things are looking up, and a lucky find near the end of the video ensures that things go my way.
GETINDARE is basically the best thing ever, especially with a Fighter. After laying waste to another quarter of the dungeon, I find a fancy glyph that will only add to the fun. Fun fact: This game is supposed to be able to be played in a ten minute session. This dungeon has taken around 20 mintues so far, and we're not done yet! LIES.
I won't spoil whose demise I'm talking about. Also, this video introduces what is destined to be the first in a long line of funny voices. If I ever LP an RPG... Hoo boy.
One class down, a whole bunch more to go. Next up is the Thief! Another video of learning and mistakes as I figure out how to play the game effectively, made more difficult by our first new enemy type, the Wraith. On a side note, this video has a little problem with the aspect ratio that also occurs in episode 2. I've identified the problem and at least know how to avoid it in the future, if not what precisely was the cause.
Wraiths really do kind of suck. The resist physical damage, hit with magical damage, and inflict mana burn so you can't use as many spells on them. Big old undead jerks.
Worshiping Taurog makes the dungeon fairly straight forward, but magic makes life SO much easier. It's a delicate balance, and I still don't have a great grasp of how important piety is, or how to gain and lose it efficiently. At least Taurog is easy to please. DESTROY. Of course, all that is moot if it doesn't let you defeat the boss...
I love this Priest. Around this point I'm starting to get a better hang of the game mechanics, and to sweeten the pot, Priests are super handy against undead. Forgive the abrupt ending, by the way. I wanted to eat my chicken pot pie. :3
So I still don't know how monster resistance works. I think the damage formula is (Base Damage(+%))-%, but that still leaves the question of when a global multiplier like Good Golly is applied. I could go online and find the answer in the DD forums or wiki... but where's the fun in that? :D Fun fact, this Priest did not accept any god on this floor. Good Golly is just so good!
Hahahahahahahahaha, yeah I learned my lesson on this one. NEVER DELETE ANYTHING UNTIL YOU'RE DONE WITH EVERYTHING. That being said, this attempt goes even smoother than my previous one, despite the presence of the magical resisting GOATS that weren't present in my lost attempt. So all's well that ends well, I guess.
I'm not sure if you guys were really sure, but Wizards are squishy. I may not have made that very clear. Especially in the first three minutes or so of the video. Epic confrontation with a pair of enemies two levels higher than me at the end of the video, leaving not much left in the dungeon to explore for the finale tomorrow.
The Wizard run reaches its conclusion! I deliberate between the three altars in the dungeon to determine how best to tackle the boss at the end and decide on the simplicity of the newest god I've met. Next week begins the second attempt with the Thief class.
Tikki Tooki is a cruel master. Without First Strike at hand, he just makes life miserable. Hilariously, his final Boon *IS* First Strike, which means that if you can apply that yourself, that Boon isn't necessarily that useful. Tricky business working for the tricky god. The thrilling conclusion comes tomorrow... But isn't this called Thief Week?

Dwarf Monk. Who would have guessed, eh? I guess they are good for something after all. So as I say in the video proper, Desktop Dungeons will cease being a weekly feature as it exists today. I intend to finish unlocking everything, and don't worry, those runs WILL be shown in their entirety, as well as one run for every bonus class. The series will finish with a run through the campaign. However, due to the difficult nature of the challenge dungeons and the way that you unlock the advanced classes, I can't reasonably keep up a regular schedule for this, so I'll be running regular series on OTHER games. More actiony games where I don't have to do math. YES.

In this episode, I proceed throughout my third Thief attempt and try to make the most of it and- SUPER MEEEEAT MAAAAAN! ... Seriously. XD I also experiment a bit with new magic, and continue to fail math while I experiment with the damage cap. I still haven't found it yet. That's exciting. Fun fact: It took me about three days to get the PISORF pun. OH, Desktop Dungeons, how appropriate.
After taking a break to let my video backlog exhaust itself, I return with regularly scheduled Desktop Dungeons, this time featuring a Human Berserker. It does not go so well. In review, there's a few things I would have done differently, but unfortunately, the time is past. However, I am determined to press on! TIME TO SMASH SOME FACE!
.... Yeah. GETINDARE may be a sign of weakness, but so is failing at basic addition. I really should think more before I do silly things like converting glyphs that are vital to my particular attack strategy. Especially when they won't even let me kill the thing I wanted to. This is what we call a critical failure, folks. Watch me flail about as I try to recover from this mistake in the second half of the video. Next run I will be investing more time into level-ups as healing resources.
Once again, we have a fail run. In grand tradition, I'll be coming back to this class after a few other attempts, and hoping that with a little more game experience, third time will be the charm. Yeah, this isn't a great video. This is why it's important to learn from your mistakes.
