The detangle/shampoo/condition/twist process takes me about *45 MINUTES* from start to finish. It's about 2.5 hours total if I blowdry and flat-iron "The Works". At the time of filming this video, my hair was mid-back length (fully stretched) I recorded this video earlier this year. I never got around to uploading it because I thought I was going to record more footage and add it to the video. I finally edited it and here it is... Time really flies! MY DETANGLING AND SHAMPOO STEPS 1) DETANGLE & TWIST: I remove as many tangles and shed strands as possible before wetting my hair. Then I put it into twists, then detangle a little more. 2) RINSE : I do a really good water rinse before applying shampoo 3) SHAMPOO/CONDITION ONE SECTION AT A TIME: I like to unravel the twist one at a time and work with one section of loose hair. Sometimes I use a Denman brush during the conditioning step. 4) FINAL RINSE: After conditioner has been applied to all of the twists, I rinse the conditioner out of the twists without unraveling them. 5) AIRDRY OR BLOWDRY: Once I'm done with the final rinse to the twists I apply a leave-in and then allow my twisted hair to airdry. Sometimes I also may blow-dry my hair instead.

Happy Valentines Day Everyone! Today I wanted to share how detangle my hair. So far so good with this method. Detangling is a lot easier and not as dreaded as it used to be. I get minimal shedding when i use this method, although the hair will shed some which is natural. I also find that I have little to no breakage when I take my time and detangle using this method. If your hair is damaged or brittle you may want to try a protien treatment or use some coconut oil to help strenghten it. If you have any tips on detangling please share or post a video response. In this video I show you how I detangle my transitioning hair at 23 months post relaxer. I do not always use the Amla oil. Sometimes I use Extra Virgin Olive Oil or even Coconut oil. It really depends on what is handy :) The Tigi by Bed Head Moisture Maniac Conditioner is a solid staple in my regimen. This conditioner is my leave-in and my daily moisturizer. I don't think I've EVER used it as an instant/rinse-out conditioner. My Apple Cider Vinegar Spritz is just the rinse in a bottle. I use 1 tablespoon of ACV to every 8 oz of water. I use a spritz instead of a rinse because I feel it distributes more evenly. I do not rinse this out and no there is not a lingering smell.
