The Metric measurements: Given to my by a viewer...thank you 1 egg 120ml milk 100gram sugar 125gram butter, melted half a teaspoon of salt 2 teaspoons of baking powder 250gram flour (and about 50-75 gram of flour as reserve) quarter teaspoon of nutmeg Heat the oil to 180 Cº Remember to turn the pot handle in over the stove so it doesn't get bumped. Cinnamon/Sugar for decoration 1 cup sugar 2.tsp. cinnamon Stir this mixture together in a separate bowl to use later to sprinkle over the cooked doughnuts. 1. Beat the egg in a bowl large enough to eventually hold all of the ingredients. 2. Add the milk, butter and sugar to the egg. 3. Combine the dry ingredients in another bowl. 4. Combine the flour mixture with the egg mixture and mix until the dough comes together 5. Knead the dough into a nice smooth ball trying not to work it too much. 6. Roll the dough out to approximately 1/3 inch thick. 7. Cut the doughnuts. Separate the wholes from the doughnuts and place them on a lightly flour dusted tray or on parchment paper If you do not have a doughnut cutter use the rim of a glass and a water bottle cap. 8. Yesterday I had the opportunity of shooting this Ferrari F430 Spider doing some insane donuts and drifting! He started with a brand new set of tires and burned all the rubber off. The owner of the car used to drive rally cars in Europe and is a huge fan of Ken Block and everything Ken Block does for the rally sport community in the United States. The Ferrari sounds absolutely insane while shredding tires. This isn't the first time the owner has gone drifting in it because he shows great car control. Here's how to make glazed doughnuts from scratch in one short video. This recipe does not use yeast however you will be surprised at the great taste and volume rendered with few ingredients and less steps. My goal is to produce more in less time and still finish with that yummy taste we all seek in café style doughnuts. I just have to have an espresso with these. INGREDIENTS FOR DOUGHNUTS: 2 cups all-purpose flour ½ cup sugar ½ cup milk ¼ tsp salt 2 Tbsp baking powder 1 egg 1 Tbsp melted butter ½ tsp vanilla INGREDIENTS FOR GLAZE: 1 cup powdered sugar 3 Tbsp water 2 Tbsp melted butter ¼ tsp vanilla extract METHOD: Add salt and baking powder to flour. Wisk and set aside. In a mixer bowl add sugar and egg. Start mixer on slow speed then add the melted butter, milk and vanilla extract. Stop the mixer and add part of the flour mixture. Flour should be added in stages until it is all mixed smooth. Remove dough ball from mixer bowl unto a floured pastry board and roll out to a half inch thickness. The dough is very sticky and soft. You may harden it by setting it in the fridge for an hour previous to rolling out. Cut with a doughnut cutter or use a tin can and bottle lid to form the doughnuts. Drop into a 350 degrees fryer or use a large frying pan with ½ inch deep canola or vegetable oil. Make the glaze by adding all ingredients in mixer bowl and running at medium speed for one minute or until thickened. Dunk doughnuts to coat both sides with glaze.
