Frequently Asked Questions!! What size is this room? The smallest room in my place... 20 x 20 ft approx. How did you get the idea for a "dressing room"?! I took a lot of inspiration from blogs and other internet sources (see below). I was also inspired by my last place which had a walk-in closet with a lot of space. The closets in this condo are large but I needed a place to store all of my clothes, shoes and beauty products and this seemed to solve all of my needs. What are the essentials for a dressing room? You need a space to hang your clothes, a space to "prepare" your outfits, accessories and shoes aka laying them out (ie dresser, ottoman or body form), you'll need a place to sit, a few mirrors, lots of floor space, and LOTS of shelving. Remember, a dressing room is essentially a storage room for your personal items. The more shelving and storage the better. You can always decorate it to look nice and girly but it's up to you! :) What if you decide to put an end to this room? I remove the shelves from the walls and it's over. It's that simple. What about the guest room? This video suggests that you use a SPARE room for a transformation like this. So if you need your extra room to serve as a "guest room" then obviously you do NOT have a spare room for something like this. This is ideal for a house with 3 or more rooms considering you have one for yourself, one for a guest and one for a "dressing room" :) What does your boyfriend think of this room? He likes it.
