Track from the "Sounds of the Tornados" EP released in October 1962, when the Tornados were riding high in the singles chart with "Telstar". Earthy was composed by lead guitarist Alan Caddy. Also on the EP are "Ridin' the Wind", "Dreamin' on a cloud" and "Red roses and a sky of blue". "Sounds of the Tornados" reached No.2 in the EP charts and remained on chart for 26 weeks. What became of the band members? Heinz was the first to leave the group, in May 1963, persuaded by their recording manager Joe Meek to pursue a solo career. He was initially replaced by Brian Gregg, but Brian lasted only three months and was replaced by Ray Randall. Ray still performs around his home town of Whitby, Yorkshire. Heinz died in April 2000, aged 57, after a five year battle with motor neurone disease. George Bellamy was next to move on, in August 1963. The strain of constant touring took its toll when he collapsed on stage, so he stood down for health reasons. He went on to own his own record label - SRT and his own music publishing business - Geobell Music. He is now retired and living in Alicante on Spain's Mediterranean coast. George was replaced in the Tornados by Bryan Irwin. Bryan died of a heart attack in 1999, aged 55. Roger LaVern left shortly after George, perceiving the onslaught on the mersey sound. He made a name for himself in Mexico as "El Lobo", appearing in many TV commercials. He is now living in Bromley, Kent having survived a battle with cancer. His successor on the <b>...</b>

Alec Bradley Tempus Maduro Medius 6 Cigar Review This 6x52 dark chocolate stick offers thick and stiff construction with minimal veins, invisible seams, a rich oily wrapper and a soft sweet tobacco aroma. First light reveals a very snug almost unsmokeable draw, minimal smoke output and medium bodied flavors of a very earthy black pepper with a deep finish. Rolling the stick gently I loosened up a bit of a plug near the band which opened the draw significantly. Still on the firm side it smokes fine with good output giving medium body flavors of a rich, oily and creamy earthy chocolate with black pepper especially on the long finish. 30 minutes in at the start of the 2nd third, flavors added a bit more chocolate and a touch of sweetness. This stick likes 2 quicker puffs rather than a long slow draw to keep the thick wrapper burning normally. 55 min in at the 1/2 way point flavors changed to a deep earthy oily coffee, with a good bit of strength kick to it, yet only medium body flavors. I'm surprised how slowly it's burning considering how often it needs to be drawn. Ending at 1:30 where it began to get too warm for my taste, the last third transitioned to just a deep earthy tobacco with a very heavy aftertaste. trength was near full certainly much more strength than body flavor. Bolivar Royal Corona Cigar Review cigarobsession.com http This 4 7/8x50 Cuban cigar features a dark tan wrapper with a slight red hue, minimal veins, almost invisible seams, a buttery leather feel and a rich aged tobacco aroma. First light reveals an almost unsmokeably tight draw putting out soft buttery aged tobacco smoke. The draw is so tight it's like trying to suck an ice cube through a straw and in undoubtedly effecting the smoke and flavor. The first third continues to be a very hard draw, giving medium bodied flavors of a smooth buttery slightly sweet earthy leather with a short finish of a bit of earth and pepper. Near the end of the first third the draw suddenly opened up, but smoke output was minimal. After another 15 minutes it returned to normal will full flavors of deep earth and a slight leather with a heavy earthy and pepper finish with great smoke output and a perfect draw. 1 hour in to the band point, the smoke output has continued to improve while flavors mellowed out just a bit losing most of the deep earth and pepper, going a bit more smooth and buttery. till predominantly a leathery earth flavor profile, the finish is smooth and short holding a slight earthiness as well. Ending at 1:25 where it got too hot for my taste, the end was very good and I only wish the first half was the same way. Gurkha Spec Ops Maduro Churchill Cigar Review This 7x50 stick offers a dark chocolate, firm, dry satin wrapper with slight tooth, minimal veins, tight invisible seams, a double cap and very rich barnyard aroma. First light reveals a snug draw putting out very good amounts of thick creamy smoke with medium body flavors of a rich smooth aged tobacco and a short clean finish. The first third bring the body up to medium-full with earthy chocolate notes and a good bit of pepper flavor, lasting through the now long finish. The smoke output is excellent, the draw loosened up to perfect. 45 minutes in at the 1/2 way point flavors are up to full body with a deep in the chest earthiness, espresso and dark chocolate notes, dropping the pepper. By the end of the 2nd third the espresso flavor had really taken over, going big and creamy, dropping the earth. The finish also got bolder holding the coffee flavor with a good bit of oily pepper.
