
The 6th Caricom Festival was held at the spectacular Hackney Empire in the heart of the East End of London, it was a cultural celebration of a live musical showcase, comprising a host of International artists from around the globe such as Brazil, Grenada, Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad, Dominica, St Lucia, St Vincent, USA and the UK. The line up featured Caribbean Soca Dance hall queen The first show in August 2000 hosted a successful showcase at the Ocean Music venue in Hackney. The headlining act of that night was The Mighty Diamonds who were supported by Tallpre and Rhydum Mix Cartel from Grenada, support artists included Winston Reedy, Toyin, Lorna Gee and Shavon Johnson. Due to the success of the first show and public demand the event has now become an annual showcase, with every year continuing the cultural celebration to higher standards and platforms with flair and professionalism. This years show will showcase Don Ricardo from Jamaica, the sweet boy of Reggae performing his international hits. Lloyd Brown home grown talent from London, The Ladies main squeeze. Sylvia Teller from Brazil, a lady of lovers rock all backed by the Mellow Mix Band. Terri Walker, the UK soul queen doing her thing performing tracks from her new album (I am) Caribbean and Soca dancehall queen Denise Belfon (ms sauce woo) will light up the stage with her amazing set The Rhydum Mix Cartel fresh from Grenada featuring Bonanza, Valene, Manic, Dan Silva and Bogie B the soca monarch king of <b>...</b>
