
*New website kateleahy.com This is my very first, very humble attempt at a music video for the title track of my EP. For anyone who's interested here are some of the behind the scenes details: This video was made on a budget of $20, which was used to buy cardboard. (Unfortunately the budget did not stretch far enough to pay the director*, lighting guy*, editor*, or the make-up artist*.) *Crew included: Director: Kate Leahy Lighting: umm Kate Editor: well since theres no-one else, I guess well get Kate to do that Make-up: bad idea but it will have to be Kate Technical support: Elliot Sumner (Kate asked him a question, and he answered it, thanks El) Number of photos to create the animation: 934 Number of hours to shoot 934 photos: 103.25 (an average of 6.6 minutes to create each separate animation on the wall, run back around behind the camera, take the time-delayed photo, and quickly set myself in the correct position in front of the wall.) This video was constructed and filmed wholly in my bedroom on the wall above my bed, which means that, embarrassing enough, I was jumping around on my bed wearing a snorkel for approximately 13.5 hours (do not fret, my blinds were shut, so no innocent bystander was scared in the making). So basically, I got bored and thought that making a stop motion music video, on my own, would be fun and relatively easy. I have since learned that it is far from easy, but is super duper fun (unless of course you prefer the company of real people). So <b>...</b>
