The Equality Effect
An animated PSA I made for THE EQUALITY EFFECT, a non profit human rights organization doing legal/justice work for women and girls in Malawi, Kenya and Ghana. The equality effect is an innovative non-profit organization that brings together leading human rights experts in Kenya, Malawi, Ghana, and Canada to conduct ground-breaking legal work on women's and girls' human rights issues. The Canadian experience in advancing women's equality rights is the reference for the project at the express request of our African partners. The equality effect works to advance women's and girls' human rights and promote women's and girls' empowerment through the development of equality research and the implementation of practical equality initiatives (eg public legal education, policy reform, and test case litigation) that will result in tangible change. The primary focus of the organization's work relates to violence against women, the feminization of HIV/AIDS, and women's property rights. Howard Jones - Equality
The 20th Anniversary Concert: This DVD is a recording of Howard's spectacular 20th anniversary concert at the Shepherds Bush Empire on September 20th 2003. The DVD was Howard's concept and he has been involved with the project in every step of the production. The DVD is packaged in a beautiful deluxe 2 disc digi pack. It features 29 songs, including guest appearances from Midge Ure, Nena and Jed Hoile. The running time of the concert is 164 mins and we have also included 103 minutes of extras, packed full of behind the scenes footage as well as a 51 minute interview with Howard, interviews with the band and crew and interviews with members of the audience themselves. The DVD is directed by Sadia at Chimera Arts and mixed in 5.1 and stereo by Stephen W Tayler.

Without the support of Senate Majority Leader Mike Gronstal, efforts to amend the Iowa Constitution can not move forward in the Senate. Below is the text of Senator Gronstal's response to Senate Minority Leader Paul McKinley of Chariton on April 6, 2009, the first day the Senate met after the unanimous decision by the Iowa Supreme Court to allow same sex couples to marry. Transcript One of my daughters was in the workplace one day, and her particular workplace at that moment in time, there were a whole bunch of conservative, older men. And those guys were talking about gay marriage. They were talking about discussions going on across the country. Any my daughter Kate, after listening for about 20 minutes, said to them: You guys dont understand. Youve already lost. My generation doesnt care. I think I learned something from my daughter that day, when she said that. And Ive talked with other people about it and thats what I see, Senator McKinley. They will run in urban and rural markets on broadcast and cable channels during the Presidential Inauguration week in January 2009.
