In Defense of Israel with Shimon Erem
The Berean Call hosted a meeting where an estimated crowd of 600 came to hear retired General Shimon Erem, one of the most decorated soldiers in the history of modern Israel. TBC's executive director, TA McMahon, moderated the event, and we are pleased to present this professionally edited video production of that evening so that it may edify others and encourage Christian support of Israel around the world. Shimon Erem's service experience began in World War II as a member of the Jewish Brigade of the British Army, and continued from the 1948 War of Independence through virtually every war in the nation's history—including the Sinai Campaign, the 1967 Six-Day War, and the Yom Kippur War in 1973. General Erem recently met with key people in the Bush administration and in Congress, giving his perspective on the Islamization of Europe, the development of what the President of Iran calls "the Moslem Bomb," and issues of security in the face of worldwide terrorism. As president of Israel-Christian Nexus, General Erem has remained active in organizations and causes that promote the welfare of Israel and has dedicated himself to building bridges between Israel and the Jewish and Christian communities. This video presents an opportunity to hear from a highly informed source regarding the current plight of Israel and the spread of terrorism throughout the world today.

O vídeo foi produzido a partir do trabalho de modelagem digital em 3D realizado pelo aluno Rodrigo Mota utilizando o SketchUp. Iniciamos uma oficina de modelagem em 3D dentro do projeto Recife Virtual e os alunos começaram a ter noções sobre elaboração de objetos digitais tridimensionais para confecção de elementos que poderão ser incorporados ao jogo SimCity 4 como parte de nosso projeto de trabalhar com o game como ferramenta de aprendizagem. Os próximos passos do projeto envolvem um maior aprofundamento no uso do SketchUp e também do Gmax e de editores de elementos específicos para o SimCity 4. No final do projeto teremos uma reprodução do Recife para testar estudos e ensaiar planejamento urbanístico em nosso modelo simulado da cidade.

EREM PROF. TRAJANO DE MENDONÇA - Sim City 4 na III Mostra de Inovações Pedagógicas - Recife
Vídeo demonstrativo que apresenta o projeto Recife Vitrual, desenvolvido na EREM Professor Trajano de Mendonça (Recife-PE). O projeto envolve a utilização pedagógica do jogo SimCity 4, estimulando os alunos a desenvolver projetos de cidades virtuais sustentáveis com o objetivo de experimentar conceitos e fundamentos de gestão pública, desenvolvimento sustentável e planejamento urbanístico. Por ocasião da elaboração deste vídeo, o projeto estava em sua primeira etapa - quando os alunos estavam sendo iniciados no SimCity. As etapas seguintes envolvem treinamento em modelagem no Google SketchUp e, posteriormente, a montagem de reproduções digitais de edificações e monumentos do Recife para inclusão no jogo, proporcionando uma experiência mais realista da simulação e ampliando, no processo, o conhecimento sobre a cidade por parte dos alunos.
