Sound the Call for World AIDS Day

Produced by: Eric I. Lu The Jubilee Project made this video featuring Dr. Paul Farmer, co-founder of Partners In Health, to raise awareness for World AIDS Day. This World AIDS Day on December 1, 2010, join us as we rally to increase global AIDS funding. Global AIDS funding has flat-lined and consequently many programs and efforts to help those living with HIV/AIDS have been negatively affected. Increased, sustained commitment from places like the United States is important not only to provide continual care to these millions around the world but also to provide health care in general to those living without it. We have learned that more funding for HIV/AIDS has translated to a stronger health care system for people in poverty and underserved areas. Here are 3 things you can do on World AIDS Day to raise awareness for this important cause. 1. If you're in Boston, come join us from 7-9pm in Boston Common for a rally and vigil. The goal is to get 1000 people out, and there will be performances and speakers! For those of you not in Boston, you can find out an event near you at www.takeanumber.org. 2. Studies have shown that hand-written letters are effective ways to make your voice heard. Write a letter and call your local Senator asking them to take leadership on this issue. You can go here to find out how you can contact your senator www.senate.gov 3. Share this video with your family, friends, and colleagues. Talk to them about why this issue is important and why now is a ...

Pray for Japan: Jubilee Project Response and Fundraiser

We didn't intend to make this video. However, on March 11, Japan was devastated by a Tsunami that took the lives of thousands of people. We felt compelled to do something. So we are launching a video fundraiser on March 14 called "Top Chef" to raise money for World Vision in Japan. Every time the video "Top Chef" is watched in the month of March, the Jubilee Project will donate 1 penny to World Vision Japan. If you'd like to match this donation and become a sponsor of the video, please email project.jubilee@gmail.com. ***Please vote for the Jubilee Project's video "Beautiful" on March 14 (be sure you're signed into YouTube before you vote). A World Without Moms: Happy Mother's Day

The Jubilee Project made this video to honor moms around the world because we were inspired by the love and care we received from our own moms. Moms mean a lot to all of us. Yet, every year 7 million women are injured and 350000 women die from complications due to childbirth. These deaths, however, are preventable by providing basic maternal health care. For every view that we get on this video, Jubilee Project sponsors will donate a penny to Every Mother Counts, an organization dedicated to improving maternal health in developing countries. Together, let's help build a world where children won't have to live without moms. You can help moms in a few ways: 1. Share this video with your friends and of course your mom to let her know how much she means to you. 2. Become a sponsor of the video and pledge to donate a penny per view to Every Mother Counts. Email project.jubilee@gmail.com to sign up. 3. The Jubilee Project: Join Us!

What is the Jubilee Project? What do you do? Simply put, we make videos for a good cause. Over the last 8 months, we have witnessed an amazing thing: through our videos, we have raised over $9450 dollars to help North Korean refugees, Liberian widows and children, deaf community, Haiti victims, and others. What was humbling was not how much money we raised, but the extent to which all of you have helped get the word out. This is not a just a group of guys making videos. It's about all of you helping to address the issues of our day. This video explains our mission and the work we have done so far. The purpose behind the video is to ask for your help. Join us. We would love to hear your ideas, your stories, your suggestions, and more. We need your help to spread the word and to educate your network about this. And ultimately, we hope that you will be inspired to do good in your own communities to make a difference for the people that need it the most.
