this is a demonstration (again, sorry for the lazy-pitch effects of not practicing enough!) of some things you can do with the freqbox pitch controlled by the cv pitch out of the etherwave plus. unfortunately, the microphone of the little flipvideo camcorder i have is really not ideal for this sort of thing, so as i pass into the screeching frequency range of the flipvideo mic, it gets a little ear-shattering... doh!
This is a demonstration of the Etherwave Plus controlling the MiniMoog Voyager Analog Synthesizer. In the second part I demonstrate a spur of the moment Theremin Excercise in which the Gate CV activates a Sample and Hold, sent to the Freqbox for random note matching/harmonization. Just in case any of you out there were wondering what it would sound like for a Voyager to be a slave to the Theremin, here it is a new Etherwave Plus demonstration. Not very melodic, this demo is just to give you an idea of the way the Theremin and the Voyager respond and react to this new area of control. I had a Standard Theremin upgraded at the factory. just successfully replaced the adjustable inductor i broke a few days ago(a celebratory rice krispie treat was had) and thought i should finally upload a quick video to show off my new theremin. it's a moog etherwave built from a kit. the finish is minwax stain/polycrylic pecan gloss and i built in a switch accessible from the inside that allows me to select either line level or high-z output. it wasn't easy. long story short: buy it pre-built. i'm looking forward to joining the newly-formed theremin ensemble here at uiuc.

The scientific revolution in our planet began only in around 1500 AD. It is obvious that there are extremely advanced civilizations in the universe in comparison with us! This is not a musical statement, it is just a short demonstration of a Moog Etherwave Plus kit theremin sending gate and pitch voltage to a Moog Voyager Anniversary Edition. You are only hearing audio from the Voyager. The Voyager has a sample and hold modulating the filter, and is sent into a Moog MF-104z analog delay.

I had just upgraded my Etherwave Theremin to an Etherwave Plus and was initially disappointed that I couldn't control the pitch on my Rogue with the cv out on the theremin. Found a simple solution after reading into how the Rogue's CV inputs are setup. Pulled the mono cable out of the rogue just enough for the correct ring to line up and now I have pitch control. Success.
