You know there were and there are a lot of polemics about the blown exhaust system (EBD). Teams blowing their diffusers rely on the throttle being open to keep airflow passing to the diffuser and increase the downforce on it. In this video you can hear how they sound like on different F1 cars. It's really particular listening to this kind of sounds but, IMO, you can get annoyed by this sound. The microphone does it's best to capture the sound of the last one but I think you get the idea how loud it is. Incidentally, the high-pitched clattering sound is the dry clutch and is part of what makes a Ducati sound so crazy.

After selling my Red Bull KTM RC8 ( See my other videos) I decided to go for the new Aprilia RSV4. The choice of exhausts was limited but then I spotted this MotoGP style can from Rich at www.austinracing.info The exhaust is something different and the build quality is great. The very competitive price is an added bonus and Rich is excellent to deal with. This video is filmed with the baffle out just to see what it was like as I run the bike on the road with it fitted. The sound is incredible and this video does not do it justice. The first 80 seconds are with the bike in neutral then you can hear the note change when the bike is put in to gear which opens a valve. The bike is not run in yet but initial impressions are that it is awesome, have a listen !!

This was one of my first few videos on YouTube back in December 2008. I am re-uploading it, combining the previous 2 parts (since I'm a partner now and can go over 10 min) I also edited it and took out some unnecessary clips. This video is very special to me and was filmed probably in 1996 (I think). We were living in florida at the time and my Dad wanted to restore my grandpa's 1948 Ford Coupe Super Deluxe V8. He bought it new and drove it for years, till eventually it was parked in a field after it started having problems, served the family very well over the years. It was a full frame off restoration that took over a year to complete. We sold it right before we moved to north carolina due to lack of storage and means of transport. I was probably about 6 years old in this video and my grand parents were visiting from north carolina at the time. My mom gives a full in depth tour of this american classic, and as you can tell, I apparently got my "reviewing" skills from her haha. My grandpa starts it up and we get an awesome clip of the dual exhausts, then he takes it for their first time driving it since restoration, you will see me in between my grandma (mamaneen) and grandpa (papa). 100+ MPH at 6:15, 6:55, and 9:00. That's where I open the car up and you can hear the exhaust really good! At 9:00 I start in second gear and chirp the tires going into 3rd. Damn good for a V6! I tell you the points of where I open the car up because a lot of the video is at cruising speeds and some might get bored. I wanted to get a wide range of speeds and RPM's to show the entire spectrum of sounds from the cabin. This video is shot entirely in the cab of the car. The Exhaust is the MagnaFlow 15596 Muffler delete axle back straight pipes. Its is a deep throaty sound and I love these exhausts. I will post a video of outside the car later and than I will combine an outside shot with a cut version of the cab sound. More to come!

I saw this astonishing Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 last Sunday at Monza Circuit. The sound of this car is unbelievably loud. The exhausts are the original ones but the owner has modified the manifolds/headers. This is the Audi RS5. It has the same engine as the R8 but more powerfull : 450HP from the 4.2 V8. This one was featured with the optional sport exhaust. There are three modes for the ride : comfort (more comfortable than my actual A5, incredible), the Auto mode and the Dynamic mode that open the valves in the exhausts (sport ones in this one) and make the ride more hard (too much). You can see in the video when the driver touches the button to put it in Dynamic, it downshifts loud and fast itself... And the sound is immediately more loud ! I didn't expect this car to be that loud ! The small "BOOM" you hear in the video are not when we drive over a bump but when it changes gear ! (down or up). Enjoy !!
