The „Negri fete" in Katowice Film Art Centre is over. Today, on the last day, film "Tango Notturno" with a great Pola's role of morphine addicted cabaret singer, Mado Doucet was presented, as well as the "evening of her songs" with participation of Bobby, my Electrola 1935 gramophone . Haunting melody of the Tango appeared on the screen and later on the 78 rpm disc again and again and it gave me the thought of presenting here a few other interpretations of this tune (apart from the Negri's which was my very first upload in YT). A story of a woman living outside time in her domain devoid of rules, limits and reasons: the story of a woman who takes her parallel and simultaneous lives at the level of unconscious awareness, on a paradoxical time travel. Beginning to take form in 2006 with physical theatre and experimental video cinema, SUBVOID is a contemporary and multi dimensional art creation that came into life with the piece Dependent Independences which all the production and choreography was made by dancer and choreographer Aysegul Guryuksel and performed by her with dancer Ece Gozmen. Directed, edited and produced by Aysegul Guryuksel in April 2007, her first short film named Nobodys Pet, based on the stage production Dependent Independences, which criticized as "a meteoric race of creation in the land of the performance and the video" was invited to "New York International Independent Film Festival" in July 2007 and given the Best International Avant-garde Film Award. After the Cannes Short Film Corner 2009 selection of the second film-art project named FUNKOMA, Subvoid has been reached more than hundred exhibitions over twenty countries and currently constructing its fourth creation "Flue Floating Anxieties" in New York.

The Painter with a Movie Camera It was quite a surprise when a moving picture camera was brought to the Munch Museum several years ago. It was a so-called Pathé-Baby with a 9,5 mm. film cassette and a projector in a specially made traveller's case. The advanced traveller's camera was said to have belonged to Edvard Munch, a fact confirmed by a viewing of the four accompanying films, which had originally been developed at Nerlien's in Oslo. In connection with Munch's exhibition of Honour at the National Gallery in Berlin in the spring of 1927 he went on an extended trip to the Continent, during which he also visited Dresden before returning to Oslo in May. One of the cassette films were taken in Dresden, the other three in Oslo and Aker. All the shots seem to be from that summer. The film from Dresden can be identified through the shots from the Schlossplatz overlooking the river Elbe and of the equestrian statue of the Saxon King Albert. This is obviously Munch's first experiment in cinema; and the film consists mainly of brief sequences from the centre of the city. Munch seems to have been fascinated by the street life. The camera has captured tramways, cars and horsedrawn carriages running in all directions, dwelling on the crowd of people passing in the street, and focussing on a man and woman laboriously shifting a cart. It is characteristic of the reel that most people have their backs turned, suggesting that they were unaware of being filmed; Munch probably sought <b>...</b>
