I found out that people were looking for the original file of this. The track was originally made in Impulse Tracker, hence the .it extension the track has. Many older games (Unreal included), were made using a tracker like this, but there are many different module types/trackers. You'll find that the Amiga used modules for its music playback for example. The Mega drive (Genesis), Super Nintendo, NES, N64, etc also. A module is similar to a MIDI file. It contains all the note values/pitch/velocity information. The only difference being that the files themselves contain the sound banks within, instead of using a pre-built MIDI sound bank on a sound card that can sound very different on different machines. The result being that they are usually of better quality than MID files, and smaller than MP3 (size/quality is dependent on included sounds) If you want to know any more about modules/trackers, PM me, and I'll be happy to assist. Anyhow, I tracked down the module file, and this is a video of the track playing in Renoise (A free tracker based sequencer) Haha, I thought my mouse movements would help define what is playing and where if you are not used to this method of music playing, but whilst playing it back, I found myself following the mouse cursor like a cat... The original file can be downloaded here: modarchive(.org)/index.php?request=view_by_moduleid&query=68847 If you want to play the file in Winamp, many plugins play module formats. This is just one of them ...
