I tossed a few classic amps i had laying around up on the test bench today just to make sure they still work. This amp, the Rockford Fosgate BD1500 was a dream come true to me at one point in my life and after playing with it today, i see why i loved it so much. This thing is a BEAST, even by todays standards. Even the classic Rockford Fosgate Punch HX2 10" woofer was gettin' busy in the trunk. This thing sounded clean and very accurate, hitting the lows with ease. Its always fun hooking up old equipment so i will do more of these soon! My buddy Juan did it again! He repaired 3 amps for me that had no hope of ever working again. They all spent at least 10 years in the garage. The first was the Rockford Fosgate Punch 150, then the Soundstream Reference Class A 5.0....and of course an old Soundstream Rubicon 302 a friend gave me for a door stop. The next video's coming up, i will fire up the Rubicon 302 and for the grand finale, i will see which one is the loudest of the 3, on the TermLab meter. Rockford Fosgate called and asked me to watch their SoundLab sprinter van for a few days. It has 12 15" woofers, a bunch of RFT2500 bd amps as well as a bunch of RF T1000.4 amps. Not sure exactly whats in it. I told myself not to play with it but after checking on it i decided to see what "that button does". It started playing and i went ahead and did a few demo's with it. Also i was streaming live on my webcam on ustream.com/channel/meade916 and had around 400 people in the room with us! It was fun! The building was about to come down! I had Rockford Fosgate P1 8" woofers in my door but i needed some that could handle the amount of power i have available. These should pretty much do the trick! The Rockford Fosgate P2's are now Dual 4's ran in Parallel (2 ohm final) and occupy half of one of the T1000.4's. If you have a computer woofer turn it up! This video is almost all with the subs off till the end and it STILL KNOCKS!

Tony D'Amore stopped by the other day on his way to Southern California from Seattle...... i was gettin my oil changed over at the Lexus dealer.......we hung out for about an hour then took a ride to my shop for some bass demo's.
