The Funkster - Funk Blues Jam in E
Continuing my affair with the DeArmond M75T. This is a really great instrument. Played against a funk backing track through a Rivera M60 1x12 combo. Have set the guitar it up properly since the last outing, has a Wilkinson Roller bridge fitted and the intonation set correctly. You have to pull out the old bridge studs, drill and ream the holes then tap or press in the new larger bushes. If I can do it, you can. Other than that I re-wired the electrics to the Guild Blues 90 diagrams - these are a more modern wiring layout with treble bleed. Guitar has USA electrics and pickups, the DeArmond 2k single coil pickups are fabulous. Guitar goes straight into the clean channel on the Rivera with the Ninja Boost pulled for some extra overdrive. This is a great valve sound not unlike a Tubescreamer but more believeable.

www.fillmorepedal.com Here is some old school hard funk rock from the lost old school of funk rock with da funky boogaloo bass. NO EQ OR DIGITAL SOUND EFFECT WAS USED on this recording. Just a microphone in front of the guitar amp and the bass amp and analog pedals built by me.. Lead guitar is 1978 Electra Omega through The Fillmore Pedal of my own design (check out the web site) and into a 1973 Peavey theClassic tube amp. Rhythm guitar is a 1975 Electra Super Rock 2245 into the same amp. Bass is a 1974 Ibanez Jazz Bass through a 1968 Sunn Coliseum 880 amplifier. I can hear in my mind what the horn section would be doing, if I had a horn section.
