Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face

proguitarshop.com The Dunlop Jimi Hendrix FuzzFace is another shining example of the dedication of Dunlop's engineers to bringing you the vintage tones you've been looking for. The Jimi Hendrix FuzzFace is an exact duplicate of the 1969 Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face that Jimi used. This is not only an exact copy, the Dunlop engineers went through a pile of FuzzFace madness and replicated the ones they found to have the magic "Voodoo" tone. This recreation is point-to-point wired with the highest quality components to give you the exact tone Jimi was famous for. The Jimi Hendrix FuzzFace is chock full of sweet fuzzy goodness. This pedal was modeled after the later silicon based Arbiter pedal. It isn't quite as muddy as it's germanium counterparts and gives you an awesome, cutting tone that will put your lead out front of the mix. Back off the volume knob and experience incredible clean tones with lot's of chime and character. The Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face is also true-bypass to keep your signal clean and pure. This FuzzFace is incredible for blues or classic rock. The Jimi Hendrix FuzzFace is the missing link in your tone.

Dunlop Joe Bonamassa Fuzz Face

This is the Dunlop JBF3 Joe Bonamassa Fuzz Face, a handwired Germanium version of this classic pedal, tweaked for Joe's thick humbucker sounds and housed in a stunning copper enclosure. The JBF3 is made with top-shelf components, including Cliff jacks and Omeg pots, and its distinctive finish will develop a unique patina over the years. Two NOS Russian military transistors provide loads of classic, creamy fuzz tones, really coming alive when the Fuzz Face is running full tilt into a cranked tube amp. The Dunlop Joe Bonamassa Fuzz Face is an amazing tone tool, and due to limited production, is certain to become a collector's item as well. proguitarshop.com

Belleruche - 'Fuzz Face', Official Video, second single from the album 270 Stories.

BUY ON iTUNES: itunes.apple.com Released worldwide on the 6th December 2010 via Tru Thoughts, 'Fuzz Face' is the second single to be lifted from Belleruche's third album, '270 Stories'. Four and a half thousand photocopies, made in corner stores in East London, result in this original and distorted video for 'Fuzz Face'. Shot and directed by Jamie Roberts, who also produced the band's acclaimed first single promo - Clockwatching. This video takes the concept of 'Fuzz Face' and spins the band members through a weird process of digital and analogue distortion, resulting in each and every frame (all 4500 of them) being 'fuzzed' by being run through old photocopiers in call centres and newsagents on the Bethnal Green Road in the east end of London then the prints being reassembled into the final edit. belleruche.com Director - Jamie Roberts Shoot Producer/1st AD - Stacy Vaughan Makeup & Hair - Layla Mehmedagi Spin Enthusiast - Mike Simpson Post Production Assistants - Will Williamson & Leo Fawkes Thanks to The Roundhouse, London roundhouse.org.uk/ Production Company - Archer's Mark archersmark.co.uk

Fuzz Face

EDIT: I keep getting e-mails about this, so here: 1) Fuzz isn't actually engaged until the 0:39 mark. 2) At the 1:00 mark, I roll the volume up on the guitar. This video was intended as a demonstration of the subtlety of this pedal when you use it for added sustain and compression and know how to work it in conjunction with overdriven tubes and front-end signal gain- not a demo of its outrageous noisy garage-rock/sludge/doom-metal gain potential. Although, it can do that too, and by all means have at it. Sounds good, either way. ::END EDIT:: This is a quick demo of the current standard production red Dunlop Fuzz Face (about 2 years old) w/ germanium NKT-275's through a Ceriatone JTM 45/100 (Marshall clone). As you can see, it mostly adds sustain and mud... sounds a lot better, I think, than the blue JH silicon ones they were making a decade ago and recently reissued (actually sounds more like Jimi Hendrix than the Jimi Hendrix reissue pedal, imagine that,) but my ideal Fuzz Face would have less gain and more growl... although this one does have a little growl to it on a good day, when it's cranked. These transistors are very, very finicky. Never sounds the same, each time you plug it in it's a little different. It would also clean up better, but this one is alright. Very noisy and hissy, though. The amp is outfitted w/ a PPIMV, engaged about 60% to prevent clipping the camera mike. This translates into compression: a less "chimey" top-end and a less "boomy" bass-end than ...

Joe Bonamassa Signature Series

Free Download of Joe Bonamassa song at: bitly.com Dunlop is very proud to present two signature pedals that were developed in collaboration with Joe Bonamassa, an artist who is famed for not only being one of the most talented guitarists working today but who also owns one of the most discerning ears when it comes to guitar tone and gear. Joe talks to us about the passion and dedication he has for his craft, the story behind the creation of his signature pedals working alongside Dunlop's product designer Jeorge Tripps, and gives an intimate solo performance where he features his use of these electronics. To learn more please visit: www.jimdunlop.com JOE BONAMASSA SIGNATURE CRY BABY: Specially engineered to fit in perfectly with Joe's system, from the way it looks to the way it sounds, this Cry Baby Wah sports a classy copper top with a smooth-finish black body on the outside. On the inside, it features large, vintage-style thru-hole components, a Halo inductor (for added harmonic content), an output buffer (to prevent impedance imbalance with vintage fuzz pedals), and a switch for true-bypass or non-true-bypass operation (Joe prefers non-True Bypass as it darkens the high end). With its huge vocal sweep range, this is one of the most expressive Cry Babys ever, and it's Joe's tool of choice to accentuate every soulful bend and bluesy wail. "The first pedal I ever purchased was a Cry Baby, 25 years ago," he says. "I am so honored to have my name on this pedal and hope it ...

Joe Bonamassa - FUZZFACE GUITAR SOLO - Dust Bowl

Get your FREE Download of Joe Bonamassa's song "Dust Bowl" bit.ly The Fuzz Face is an effects pedal used mainly by electric guitarists, and by some bass players. It is a stompbox designed to produce a distorted sound from an electric guitar. This "fuzz" sound is sometimes compared to the sound of a damaged speaker. In fact, early efforts to achieve this type of sound included actually ripping or poking holes in guitar amplifier speakers. The Fuzz Face's continuing popularity and status as a classic may be explained by its many famous users. Among them are Jimi Hendrix, David Gilmour, Pete Townshend, Eric Johnson, and Joe Bonamassa. Big Thanks to Chris Kirby for the video footage!

Dunlop JH-F1 Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face Pedal Demo

The Dunlop Jimi Hendrix Fuzz Face is a meticulously faithful reproduction of the 1969-70 Dallas Arbiter Fuzz Face that Jimi used on classic albums like Band of Gypsys. Dunlop's engineering department examined hoards of vintage Fuzz Faces, honing in on a few units that possessed unmistakable Jimi voodoo. The Hendrix Fuzz Face is built around the toneful BC108 silicon transistor. It is authentic in every detail — a hand wired brown circuit board with no solder mask and circuitry carefully matched to the original specs. The look is 100% accurate too — that groovy circular chassis with tooled clones of the original Fuzz Face knobs in the rare and vintage turquoise hammertone finish. Hendrix was the master of fuzz — an artist with many subtle shadings at his command. His love affair with the legendary Fuzz Face pedal began in the early days of the Experience and continued to evolve throughout his blazing career. A truly playable collectable for any Hendrix or Fuzz Face fanatic. Tele + Ge Fuzz Face + 5E3

I've recently revived my old home built Fuzz Face with smallbear Germanium transistors. I''m sure glad I did! This thing sounds great. I put in a bias pot to really dial in the sweet spot. I'm using my warmoth tele and a Frenzel 5E3 set first at low clean volume and mic'd with a Shure PG57 mic. Later I run it into my interface so I can crank it up and use a Marshall 4x12 speaker simulation. That starts at 3:50. Enjoy!

The new baby is born: the Baby Face is Manlay Sounds version of the the classic Arbiter Fuzz Face, the legendary fuzz box used by Jimi Hendrix and others. Transistors are hand selected and tested for optimum sound. This baby screams and cries as a great Fuzz Face from its era should but It will also clean up with the guitars' volume potentiometer really nicely. In conjunction with the wah pedal the sound will be reminiscent of the late Jimi Hendrix sounds at Woodstock or Isle of Wight even when I play through a small clean combo instead of two loud Marshalls. Little Big Muff Pi vs. Fuzz Face Clone

A head to head comparison of my best (and only) two fuzz boxes. The amp is a Fender blues junior. Settings: volume - 3 fat - on treble - 4 bass - 8 mid - 7 master - 2 reverb - 3.5 Guitar is a Fender MIM stratocaster with a Gibson 490 humbucker in the bridge. I generally prefer the fuzz face because it tends to scream a little more on lead lines while I like the Big Muff best with the tone off a little. Higher tone creates a really splatty nasally fuzz tone that is unique but I just prefer the fuzz face. Tthe Big Muff has killer rhythm tones that aren't as attainable on the fuzz face either. You have to love the fuzz! Thanks!
