Last year when "genrocks" posted her epic "Filmography 2010" video (seen here: www.youtube.com she said that the 2010 slate of movies changed her view of what was possible in film. Well, her video changed my opinion of what was possible with movie trailers, as she hit on a creative goldmine of sorts with her fantastic mash-up. It pushed me to start playing around with more advanced video editing and opened a whole new world of creativity for me. For the 2011 movie year, instead of doing the "entire year in film", I decided to create a mash-up of most of the movies released this year that had to do with action, adventure, science fiction, and the like. It's broken down into distinct phases, which focus on some of the major "types of movies" (super hero, ninja/samurai, robots) or "types of scenes" you'd see in movies such as these (slow motion, car chases, fights). I used almost entirely clips from the movie trailers released through the date of posting, though I did splice a few things from some of the "clips" that were released for some of the movies. I have 45 movies worth of clips in the video, and it covers most of the movies released or scheduled to be released during 2011. While there are a few that do not make appearances (Sherlock Holmes 2, Darkest Hour, etc.) due to December release dates, and as such, do not currently have trailers out, a few movies like "The Mechanic" or "Attack the Block" didn't make the cut because I'd gotten the video as perfect as I wanted <b>...</b>

This is a tribute to Christopher Nolan's Batman films. Christopher Nolan is my favorite filmmaker and as I eagerly await the release of The Dark Knight Rises, I feel a bit of sadness to see his Batman films go. Super Happy with how this turned out, with the exception of one mistake at the Very, VERY end. Grrr. This thing took a half hour to render. And I rendered it twice due to an error and a typo. So if you haven't seen it, genrocks posted a brilliant Harry Potter tribute using this song as one of the songs used. I have been watching that video over and over until I decided to do my own version. I am honestly in love with what she did, and did my best to pay tribute to that. I started this 12 hours ago. No lie. I spent, hmm, roughly 9 of those hours on this. It was worth it. I had a vidding bug. Longest video yet! Woo! While I was editing a few of these scenes, I ended up actually tearing up. Particularly the "I am your father" piece with the Mustafar clips. For some reason, after watching it three times over to review it, I started getting really emotional about it. Which brings us to the title. Yes, long note, I'm sorry. So, genrocks had the lovely set up with the Pensieve thing, but.... There isn't a memory holder thing in SW... So it's, Star Wars:: EMOTIONA L. Because to me, it displays doubt, anger, love, fear, uncertainty, happiness, and triumph. Which is what Star Wars is about to me. Good vs. Evil, and the battle over one's emotions. With really cool swords. Can I get an "Aggressive Negotiations" anyone? Okay, rounding things up now. Finally, I know right. If you've never played Burnout Paradise and wonder just how big the in-game city is, this is a vid of me driving more-or-less around the perimeter of Paradise City. It's nothing fancy (there are thousands of vids showing off the gameplay), but I just wanted to show the scope of how big the game is. I ended up deciding to double the speed because the video turned out to be 9 minutes, and I hate making videos that long. There are 64 individual roads which range from dense traffic-filled city (not seen much here) to winding mountain roads, and also accessible roof-tops and hidden areas. It's a huge game, with absolutely no load time as you drive around. Try to watch the background (foreground) and notice the lack of pop-up. Next-gen rocks. N7N7 .

I always loved the Narnia series and the films were really nicely made , This video basically looks at the world of Narnia and the 4 Pensive children's journey , it mainly focuses on the two youngest ( Lucy and Edmund) but does briefly look at Peter and Susan too :) It took quite a while to make and it longer than other videos Iv made so I hope its not boring , I had great fun making it so I hope you enjoy :) Inspired by genrocks amazing Harry Potter Video , if you have never seen it , go and watch it !! The Silver Screen: 2010 is my first attempt at a yearly cinema retrospective. After seeing Cinema 2009 last year by Kees, I became immensely inspired. I still get chills watching it. In making this compilation, I never tried living up to other people's videos, but just tried to make something that I could be proud of. All of these yearly retrospectives have been so fun for me to watch, so I decided to join in. This one is quite longer than other videos that have been released, which can be attributed to my stubbornness in deciding which songs I wanted to use and my overall amateurness in editing these videos. So I apologize for the length. I also apologize for any movies that I did not include in this video, because I know I'll called out for missing many great films. Thank you to everybody else making these types of videos. We get much enjoyment from them. But without the films themselves, we would be nothing.
