This video shows the steps for installing a GGS brand LCD screen protector for digital cameras. My camera is a Canon 50D. It's a glass cover designed to keep your LCD screen free from scratches. You'll also see a before/after comparison on the Canon 50D. The video (and some audio) was shot using a Canon Digital Rebel T1i (500D). A review of the new GGS Perfect viewfinder for the Canon EOS digital camera. When fitting on the 550D just watch the viewfinder sensors aren't covered by the top of the mount!
With articulated, or fold out, LCD screens it is really hard to view the image in bright sunshine or clearly see focus of the image. With fixed screens it is very easy to fit LCD loupe viewers to magnify the image. With the fold out screens even the thinnest of mounts often means that the screen will not fold away for protection. my solution is to make a secondary screen which is fixed to the camera base plate and on this secondary screen is the mounting plate for the selected viewfinder. I chose the GGS Perfect viewfinder because of its realistic price point and engineering quality. It really does give a very clear, magnified image from the screen and is well worth considering for your DSLR rig.

I am honored to share this mini album I received from Kathy, a member of the Girls Gone Scrappy club. This phenomenal vintage album is 4x4 and made by 7 gypsies. Kathy said it was a chunky patchwork quilt type of an album. Perhaps it is... but it is so much more! I have never seen such beautiful textures and embossing. The lace in it is over 100 years old! There is sparkle and shine on every page and I can hardly wait to journal in it and fill it up with photos. Thank you Kathy! You did it... and more!
This LCD Screen protector uses a 0.5mm ultrathin optical glass with at least 90% transmittance. The image is displayed in focus when applied. Taking stills, or video, in bright sunlight with a compact digital camera is at least very challenging to see a clear image on the LCD screen. If you boost the backlight to maximum on the lcd screen then battery life suffers as a result. having fitted the GGS Perfect Viewfinder on my Canon 550D I was impressed by the quality of the design of this product and the optical results. I didn't want to bond the viewing screen directly to the compact camera as I wanted to use it with 3 other cameras. This video shows how I achieved a very workable solution to thisproblem. Constructed from acrylic or polycarbonate sheet the total cost was under 2GBP and can easily be constructed using a minimum of tools. Apologies for slight continuity of video as there was a light airplane doing stunts in the sky and the noise sometimes drowned out my voice.
