The Nether, came with Minecraft's Halloween update. The Nether is probably the most dangerous place in Minecraft (I had to retake this video several times). Two new mobs that inhabit this world are the Ghasts and the Pigmen (I won't be attacking the Pigmen). The Ghasts are white jelly fish like monsters floating around the Nether world spitting fireballs at the player. The Pigmen are pretty much the footmen of the Nether, They don't attack the player unless the player attacks one of them, then ALL of them attack you. I tried to survive until the song ends. This is what I do when I'm bored. Some things I learned: 1) Ghasts shoot flaming snowballs. 2) Flaming snowballs will hit each other and blow up, doing practically nothing. 3) Ghasts can, actually, be hit with the flaming snowballs, but their hitbox is very small, therefore it is quite difficult. In this video I show a few things: - Portals copied/placed via MCEdit still function fine, and only require one portal "block" to teleport you. - Where you get portal'd to is kinda funky. It seems that, if two portals in the real world are close together, they will spawn you in the same location in hell. Otherwise, a new portal will be created. Maybe that's because of the whole 8:1 rule (1 hell block = 8 real blocks!), and if the two portals intersect a new one won't be made.... I hope this is it - otherwise, portals will be difficult to manipulate. - Ghast spawners! It took me a total of 23 hours to get all 6 people to level 99. 20 hours or under is possible if you do the methods below. Leveling the easy/medium people: Start off doing the easy path and hit all of the monsters so they target you. Let your friend kill them while you tank. It depends which person it is but around level 40 you should switch to the medium path and then switch to the hard path around level 60. Leveling the two hard people: The quickest way to level these two is completing easy paths as fast as you can. Steel titan, overloads, and turmoil should allow you to finish each run in under 3 minutes on average. Finally I have a working ghast trap which also produces zombie pigmen and magma cubes! I'm really quite proud of this even though it's unfinished because I spent so much time experimenting and failing over and over again that I was stunned at how simple the design could be in the end.
