GMC has unveiled the Sierra All Terrain HD concept, ahead of its debut at the North American International Auto Show. Designed to be one of the most capable trucks ever created, the All Terrian is a Sierra HD on steroids. Compared to the standard model, the concept is shorter, wider, and taller. Furthermore, it has been equipped custom control arms, Fox off-road shocks, front/rear jounce shocks, automatic locking differentials, and a beefy front stabilizer bar with electric disconnection. In terms of styling, the concept features a massive grille, bulging fender flares, LED lights and 20-inch aluminum wheels with 35-inch BFGoodrich KM2 tires. Out back, the bed has a composite liner and two compartments which house an air compressor and a 110-volt outlet. While no interior pictures were released, GM says the cabin has two-tone leather seats, satin chrome trim, and a next-generation navigation system with an 80 GB hard drive. Power is provided by a Duramax 6.6-liter V8 diesel engine with 397 hp (296 kW) and 765 lb-ft (1037 Nm) of torque. Performance specifications weren't released, but GM estimates the All Terrain would have a payload capacity of 2700 pounds (1225 kg) and a towing capacity of 13000 pounds (5896 kg).

Moving of GMC Greyhound Scenicruiser PD4501-1001 from Belpre, Ohio to Peoria, IL. 8-8-08 Full restoration will begin within two years. Must finish PD4501-771first. In 1953 GMC built EXP 331 an experimental prototype bus that would eventually become the Scenicruiser. This is EXP331 you see in this video. Prior to it's creation, a full sized plaster model mock-up was built. EXP 331 was based directly on this mock-up. Even before this, I believe in 1949 GMC built the GX2. Anyway, after all testing and styling was completed, GMC began production of the PD4501 Scenicruiser in 1954. At the end of the planned 1000 run production, in 1956, Greyhound wanted EXP 331 finished as a bus, and added to the end of the run. So, EXP 331 became PD4501-1001. So, the bus you see in this video could be considered the first and last Scenicruiser ever made! Due to an earlier regulation, EXP 331 was built with an emergency exit door on the left side. No other Scenic was ever built this way. Greyhound removed the E-door some years later. It also was equipped with a factory spot light.It then went into service with the other 1000 cruisers.It remained in service at least until 1974. It still appeared on the 1974 Greyound roster. At some point between 74, and 1978 Ridgley coach, a charter company from Washington DC bought 1001. I do not know yet if Ridgley bought it from GH directly or from some other private company. If anyone has any doctumentation either way...I would love to here from you <b>...</b>

The radiator in my wife's 98 Jimmy took a shit so I had to replace it. The cheap plastic end cap cracked at the seams. Who ever thought plastic was a good idea for use in a hot pressurized system should study up more! I started out well, but then the battery in my camera died, so a "few" steps are missing but you get the general idea. The clips on the coller lines is a good idea and I also like the gasketless thermostat housing. Very nice designs for repair work. You'll agree if you ever twisted off a transmission cooling while trying to loosen it after it has been on the radiator for 100000 miles! Overall the Jimmy has been a decent vehicle but it is not my favorite. Problems seem to crop up quite frequently. I have already had to glue the rearview mirror on twice in 2 months! The blower fan took a dump. the water pump failed, the wiper motor shit the bed, the driver's door switch panel pops out when you close the door.......just annoying things that keep me busy working on it. It does still run great but is terrible on gas, only 13 to 15 mpg. The next needed repair will govern just how much longer I will keep it! Thanks for watching and please rate and comment..... :)
