But also the two original islets appear completely artificial today, with little if any trace of the two natural rocks that still appear on photographs of 1987. In 1925, there were still five above-water rocks, which have eroded since. A report from 1947 mentions five above-water rocks. Three smaller ones were on the west side, nearly impossible to see from seaward because of the breaking waves. The larger rocks on the southwest side and on the northeast side, possibly Kitakojima and Higashikojima, were reported to be 0.6 m (2 ft) and 0.4 m (16 inches) high, respectively. The original rocks appeared barren, obviously without any terrestrial vegetation. The current artificial dry land areas with their concrete surfaces appear unfit to support terrestrial vegetation either. After concrete encasing, each of the islets appears as a circle with a diameter of 60 meters (about 200 ft) on detailed satellite images, which would correspond to a land area - albeit mostly artificial - of 2827 m2 (0.7 acres) per islet, or 8482 m2 (2.1 acres) in total. In addition, there is a platform on stilts in the shallow part of the lagoon 140 meters (460 ft) ENE of the southern islet, built by the Japan Marine Science and Technology Center in 1988, which appears as a rectangle of 100 m by 50 m (330 ft by 165 ft). Gmail is the most difficult one to use, and while I had success with it yesterday, I was unable to send a message today. I forgot to include Google Calendar on this, but that works as well, although I haven't tried to setup appointments. This is the 3G model, although I am logged onto WIFI for the Google Talk portion. Interestingly enough, my desk is too far for my laptop to get WIFI, but Kindle was able to reach. Normally WIFI is faster, but at that distance from the router, 3G was actually much faster than WIFI.

How to add Google Maps to Joomla • There are several extensions that allow you to easily create Google maps and display them in Joomla. • Google maps is new, but popular. It seems to have a variety of useful features that make it stand apart from the rest. • Check the extensions at extensions.joomla.org. Navigate to Photo & Images/ Maps category and find the page for GoogleMap. Click on download button. • Once you've downloaded them all, install them just as you would any extension. • Go to Components -: Google Map -: Configuration. Enter URLs on which your website resides. You can separate multiple URLs by commas. Scroll down and click on the link for signing up the key. Remember, you should have a google account before proceeding. • Check out the page, read terms and agree to them by checking on the box given at the end. Type URL and generate API Key. The key will be created. Copy it to the clipboard. Return to Joomla. • Paste the key you've copied. For multiple domains, you will have to repeat the process.
