When I saw and recorded this episode the first time, I was getting amped and pumped at the second Board round, primarily because of the way GSN sped it up. Then the round slowed down to its normal speed during the last few spins. It kinda felt like a downer, but the results of the spins kept me going until the end. Having heard that GSN, the network for Deal or...um, games, has decided to revive the word game Lingo later this year (with Bill Engvall! AAAAAHHHHH! But seriously, we'll see how it works out this summer), it seems appropriate to go back to when the show was born. Yep, here is the first-aired episode of Lingo from August 2002 (taken from a Feast of Favorites marathon)! There are subtle differences in this first season (which was a test run); there are no co-hosts, Lingos don't really matter other than boosting the score, and the Bonus Lingo isn't a progressive jackpot.
