This is a demonstration on the rare Bricklin Safety Vehicle 1 (SV-1) built in Canada in 1974 and 1975. About 1500 cars are still known to exist out of the approximately 2854 to maybe 2916 that may have existed. The car was very innovative with the acrylically impregnated fiberglass exterior, (cars came in 5 colors and were NOT painted), full integrated safety roll cage built into the structure of the car, extremely heavy duty bumpers, gullwing doors which allowed the frame of the car to be at door sill height providing added passenger safety. No cigarette lighter or ashtray (because it's not "safe to smoke and drive at the same time), gas tank surrounded on all sides by heavy duty steel plates, large 351 cu.in V8 (1975). Cars actually had a 360 cu. in V8 in 1974, but rumors had it that AMC couldn't spare any extra casting capacity, so Bricklin went with a Ford engine in 1975. A truly revolutionary car, way ahead of it's time!

GULLWING - Conceptually it's not a fish or a shortboard... but something in between. Features a flat deck, steep rails and an outline with a wide pointed nose centered wide point. Concave bottom through the guts of the board with a volume neutralizing spiral vee behind the fins create speed and control simultaneously. A couple of weeks ago I recorded in a small village called Domburg (The Netherlands), 22 Mercedes-Benz 300SL Gullwings and Roadsters. The Belgium Gullwing Club organized a tour across The Netherlands and Belgium. They where parked at a parking lot behind a hotel. Just amazing to see al these different cars, colors and models at the same place. The Mercedes-Benz 300SL was introduced in 1954 and produced till 1963. There where 3258 produced, 1400 coupes and 1858 Roadsters. Very exclusive! The market value of a 300SL Gullwing in good condition is about €500.000 (so in this video: 22x 500.000 = €11.000.000). In thisvideo I give a full in depth tour of the ultra rare 1 of 6 1976 Mercedes 450 SEL Sbarro Gullwing. A custom built car by swiss coach builder franco sbarro. There were about 28 produced in all when combined with the optional Bi-turbo 5.0, the 6.9 V8 was much more limited as stated earlier. Recently completed a 5 year restoration, this was one of the more unique examples of extravagant styling of the 70s. It has been fitted with aftermarket wheels, BUT ALSO this car is not lifted, it has an adjustable suspension that controls the vehicle's ride height. That's why it may look higher than it really is. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

The F4U Corsair, made famous for its ability to out climb, outrun or outfight any enemy in its day, is an exciting addition to the Hangar 9 family. Referred to as "whistling death" by the Japanese in World War II, and the "Sweetheart of Okinawa" by American troops, the inverted gull wing allowed for the huge propeller to clear the deck with its short, stout landing gear. Designed as a carrier-based fighter, it was also the first Naval aircraft to have landing gear retract flush into the wing behind panels for improved aerodynamics, and it was the first fighter to exceed speeds of 400 mph. Its successful reputation and unique flying characteristics have earned the F4U Corsair its place in American military history. *Read please* An inside look under the hood plus lights installation. I was expecting a more stable plane, but for thrashing around, the Corsair is fun for an experienced pilot. I think it would fly better without the air disruption of the external wing servos, especially on a plane with such a small wingspan. I have all of the Microflyers from Parkzone, and still think the T-28 Trojan is the best. I have mentioned a few times that I would like a standard FAA set of lights from Tiny Brite Lights, but still get more whites than colors. A true FAA night flier only needs the 3 lights, and not all those blinding landing lights that make it hard to see and unsafe. Just keep it simple. Too many white lights on a plane this small makes it difficult to see in the dark. I made mods to my set so I could fly it easier. Options include a Bang & Olufsen audio system and an AMG Performance Media system that displays real-time vehicle information. Power is provided by a 6.3-liter (6208cc) V8 engine that produces 563 hp (420 kW / 571 PS) and 479 lb-ft (650 Nm) of torque.
