Hey everybody ^.^ Tsubasa Masuwaka's makeup is probably one of the most requested looks I get. I promised a Tsubasa Masuwaka inspired tutorial months ago so I apologise about the delay guys but here it is ^_^ Tsubasa is a popular Japanese magazine popteen model famous for her long blonde hair and gyaru makeup. Her entire face remains neutral (not much colour). Her makeup is all about her super matte face, bronze eyes with super long eyelashes, pale pink lips and light pink cheeks. While her eyes are kept toned down- they still really stand out thanks to her eyeliner and lashes (and ofc circle lenses). Japanese gyaru makeup requires quite a lot of makeup. I could barely recognise myself after the makeup and wig. I have to say I was pretty amazed because I felt like a life size doll. Amazeballs! This is definitely not something I would wear everyday but I definitely respect the girlies that rock this makeup approach. When I was in Japan, so many girls wore their makeup like this for everyday and it was like a city full of dolls. I was quite fascinated! Makeup doesn't make me beautiful. This is tutorial for my everyday eye makeup. I know most people consider this as extreme, but it's still pretty basic to me. It just shows that everyone is different - which is good! Gyaru, the tokyo fashion look, style and mentality. I'm very much into the gyaru (ギャル) and gyaro culture of Japan, and especially Tokyo, but sadly when I was there I always had a very hard time actually meeting any of them. They usually hung out in cliques, and they didn't seem to go to bars where you could really talk to them, but instead usually went to Izakayas (not really a meeting people kinda place). So how in the world should I meet them? Did I have to actually walk up to them on the street to stand a chance? I was also told by many others that this particular group of girls were really not into foreigners at all, so that might make it even more difficult to meet them! Luckily, I recently found Akumax90 here on youtube. He's a dutch dude, doing videos solely on gyaru and gyaruo culture and themes. I've taken this chance to ask him about how he went about meeting gyaru while in Tokyo, and give his thoughts on the matter. Haha, sorry about the title, "Gyaru inspired Edgy, Wavy, Pony Tail/Updo Hair Tutorial". I had no idea what to name this style. It's NOT heavily influenced by Gyaru edge styles, but that's where I formed my idea. This look is suitable as a curly hair style or a straight hair style. It's quite a messy look with sweet curls and edgy twists. The reason why I chose subtitles to edit my video is because I was short on time (I had to go to my class). I've been getting lots of messages lately.They've been pretty annoying because.......well actually alot of reasons.1.no,I am NOT going to do yamanba becasue I am banba.2.in general all gyaru tan,as a result all diffenent classes of gyaru have different skin tones.It's all a prefrence for the gyaru.ie a girl in gyaru-kei(popteen,cawaii,)can have a tan to dark brown appearence according to her prefrence) 3.I AM NOT trying to be japanese. .Just becasue I'm trying to do gyaru make does not me anything.gyaru are trying to look american.I am not tring to look asian of bleaching my skin,soo why trying to be who?If you think that way,it would be most logical than you would concider gyaru are trying to be american.4.I'm NOT that dark,seriously I'm not mabe it's my camera,but actually I am a medium dark brown skin tone I also wear bronzer(to give you an idea,it actually shows up on my skin an gives me a golder bronze pigment.if I was THAT dark,bronzer wouldn't show up on me,NOW WOULD IT?!?!?)you need to spend more time around black people. 5.I wish whoever this white supremacist dude with an asain fetish and multiple accounts would stop watching my videos and live me alone.go fuck yourself.I'm black,SO WHAT!!I'm not going away anytime soon.6.Don't try to bring me down.It won't work
