This was the Oldswinford Summer Tournament held at Stourbridge Rugby Club on 16th & 17th July 2011.Once again manager Paul split the team in two & entered the younger girls into the U14's tournament on the 17th & the older girls into U15's which this video features. The U15's girls went into it without rock steady defender Kelsey and the mood wasn't helped when on arrival we were told of the daft tournament rules-Goalkeeper not allowed to leave the area (which was very small),goalkeeper not allowed to kick the ball,no normal throw-ins instead the ball has to 'rolled' under arm onto the pitch,no corner kicks-ball has to be 'rolled' onto the pitch,no players allowed in penalty area,no goals from inside the area.Wednesfield have scored loads of goals this season from corners & throw-ins not to mention the amount of 'sweeping up' done by Lottie,so these silly rules put us at a big disadvantage straight away.Yes it was the same for every team but we especially work on those areas of the game. Anyway,first match was against old rivals Wednesbury Wildcats.The match was pretty even,then Wildcats caught the girls napping with a quick roll on & their player fired home-even though she was inside the area.Then with everyone pushing forward for an equalizer W-field lost possession & Wildcats scored a second.The next match was against Wordsley Wasps.W-Field had nearly all the play & won the game 2.0 thanks to a brace from Beth.Third game was against Halas Hawks.This should of been a <b>...</b>
