This is a Halo 3 community montage put together by Zola entitled, "Legacy," and it is one of the best Halo videos I have ever seen. The editing is just incredible, featuring countless original and complex effects that must have taken forever to create. The intro is just beautiful, the syncing is on point, and the transitions are of Maptacular caliber. And what's really great about this video is that it isn't overedited at all. All of the gameplay is shown in its complete glory, and speaking of the gameplay, it is simply sick. Even though I was a tad disappointed with it, one has to factor in the fact that these clips were picked around a year ago. It's mainly MLG with a few social clips here and there and it's full of ridiculous exterminations, snipes, and multikills, some of which are on known names. A couple plays that really stood out to me were the all no scope triple kill Narrows mancannon and a really interesting Rocket kill on The Pit involving a frag grenade. The soundtrack is incredibly diverse and even though the lack of some consistency within the soundtrack did take a bit away from the video for me, it's pretty original overall and its eclectic nature does add a unique feel to the video. And lastly, the video's in high definition so no complaints in this department. Overall, this is one of the greatest Halo videos of all time and I hope you like it. Enjoy! Subscribe to my backup account for more Halo videos: www.youtube.com This is a Halo: Reach montage/funtage from Salaya entitled, "Live Your Life", put together by himself, and it is, hands down, my favorite Halo: Reach video to date. The amount of originality in the gameplay is just incredible, and I have never been entertained so much by Reach footage before. The gameplay is simply packed full of things that never would have occurred to me in a million years, featuring lots of very interesting maneuvering for nice assassinations. The gameplay also features its share of sick multikills, showcasing a nice 2 for 1 spawn snipe on Asylum along with a couple sweet overkills. As for the editing, I really liked it as well. One of the first things that came to mind when I was watching this montage was how much it was like a nostalgic, relaxed Halo 2 montage. The editing is there, syncing enough of the footage to establish a basic flow, only using a collection of fairly basic techniques to preserve the impact of the gameplay. It's not amazing, but it gets the job done. I also thought the soundtrack very nicely completed the relaxed feel this montage has, and I also want to add that Salaya deserves mad props for capturing live, one of the defining aspects of the Halo 2 montage era. The only real complaint I can see anybody possibly coming up with for this video is the quality, but as someone who's been around since the pre-HD days of YouTube, the quality isn't that bad and is <b>...</b>

Link www.youtube.com This montage is so epic, I need to go over each aspect of it individually. Gameplay: The gameplay is BY FAR, the BEST gameplay I have EVER seen. There's tons of sick exterminations, snipes, and multikills, the majority of which are on known names. What's great about this montage is that it gets better as it goes on, so you become even more and more amazed as you're watching (watch out for the AMAZING 2 for 1 snipes in the 2nd half of the montage). Editing: I can't say for sure whether or not this is the best editing I've seen (mainly due to Nature's Invincible), but it is easily in my top 3. The editing is very clean with lots of lots of nicely synced moments, the cinematography is incredible, and I love the fast-paced feel it gives to the montage. Quality: It's HD. No complaints here. Props to Fragtality for taking the time to capture the footage for this montage in such great quality! All in all, this is easily one of the greatest Halo 3 montages of all time. Halo3Forum's 2nd Halo 3 Movie Competition: www.halo3forum.com This is a Halo 3 montage from Australia's #1 Halo team, Frenetic Array, edited by Mattisson Design, the editor of the famous first montage of European pro Fragtale. The gameplay is simply ridiculous, showcasing some insane snipes, and certainly doesn't disappoint even though these are pros and expectations are bound to be high for them. As for the editing, I think this definitely a step up from Fragtale's first. There's a lot less flaws and overused effects than in Fragtale's montage and even though I didn't like the excessive angles and cuts and the premature ending of many of the clips, it is very clear that a LOT of effort was put into this and many of the effects and theater work in this video are very aesthetically pleasing. Similar to Contractus, this video is just flat out amazing in every way. The gameplay is simply ridiculous, showcasing lots of insane multikills from both MLG and non MLG gametypes. There's stick overkill exterminations in MLG, unbelievable 2 for 1's, lift snipes for the killtacular, and pretty much any other insane play you can come up with. The editing is sick as well and even though I felt that it skipped through the gameplay too quickly at times, there's a lot of originality in it (I loved the running Spartan on Narrows) and the syncing is just amazing. At least one clip in this montage will make your jaw drop, I promise you. And unlike most of his montages, there is a hefty amount of MLG gameplay so everyone's happy. What's really awesome about this montage is that every time you think the clip is going to end, he just gets another kill. The editing in this montage is also great. It's quite simple, but you can tell he put a considerable amount of effort into it. Simply put, it gets the job done, allowing you to focus on important stuff, the gameplay. In my opinion, this montage is at least as good as his 4th, if not better. Anyways, enjoy! "I was originally gonna start this tage after I finished AYellowSnowball and I's Sticktage but Sandman wouldn't leave me alone about starting his tage 1st, so I ended up just editing this before our Sticktage. So it took use about 2 good weeks to find and pick out these song, but once we heard them it was a for sure go! It took me like 3 weeks to edit this tage and I Live Streamed me editing about 95% (only to Sandman though) and I downloaded all the videos of me editing, put them all in 1 time line and it came out to be 26 Hours long. So it took me a little more then 26 hours to edit this whole tage over a 3 week period. So Follow me on Justin.tv and Twitter for updates on and to watch live streams of me editing. I'll try to stream 100% of me editing the Sticktage, so be sure to watch for updates on when I'm streaming. Do to my work schedule I'll only be streaming like early afternoon or late at night (depending where you are, I'm going based off EST). And the last thing I wanted to talk about is the Over 9000 Jump effect in this tage. I love how it came out :D I just wanted to do like an epic jump transition, and me and Sandman have just been talking about Dragon Ball Z lately and I thought it might be cool to have the famous "It's Over 9000" line play right before he jumped. The gameplay is 100% MLG, and it's very good, featuring a ton of really nice sniper overkills (look out for the insane under pressure no scope overkill extermination on Pit along with the killtrocity extermination on Narrows) with a good amount of known names thrown into the mix. I'm a big fan of the soundtrack in this video (I find that songs without any words in them to be very effective for montages), and the editing goes along with it very well, mainly using the simple crossfade to set up the syncing necessary for a good flow.
