
Five Men Charged with Murders of Two Hamtramck Women DETROIT (Tell Us USA) - Wayne County Prosecutor Kym L. Worthy has charged five men with the abduction, torture, and murder of Hamtramck residents Ashley Conaway, 22, and Abreeya Brown, 18. On February 28, 2012 at approximately 10:00 pm As Hamtramck Police Officers responded to a home located in the 2000 block of Andrus Street, the investigation revealed that Ms. Conaway and Ms. Brown were taken from the location at gunpoint and not seen alive again. Then on March 25, 2012, the Detroit Police Department, Hamtramck Police Department and the Michigan State Police responded to a wooded location at Riverdale near Dehner and discovered the bodies of Ms. Conaway and Ms. Brown in a shallow grave. As a result of a joint investigation conducted by the Hamtramck Police Department, the Detroit Police Department, the Michigan State Police Department, the United States Marshal Service and the Wayne County Prosecutor's Office Criminal Investigation Division in conjunction with others, five men have been charged in this case. It is alleged that the homicides are connected to a February 8, 2012, shooting incident involving both women that occurred in Detroit. Brandon Cain and Brian Lee were both charged in the February 8, 2012 and were bound over in 36th District Court on April 5, 2012 in the Detroit shooting incident involving the same victims.
