Gary Hill - Happenstance (Part One of Many Parts) (1983)
The Rutt-Etra is an image synthesizer that produces live modulation of oscilloscopic forms. This special technique has enabled Gary Hill to give this quality of presence to the visual transformations of Happenstance. What actually takes place is produced there and then, like the crystallisation of thought: words, forms, images are all bound and unbound. The musical rhythm and rapidity of the links make Happenstance a "conceptual clip". Gary Hill is at his peak here inasmuch as, in Happenstance, thought is expressed as a technical object, an instrument of transformation. First and foremost, it is the words that are the most mobile: speech moves forward, moves forward singing, with the written signs sliding in lines on the electronic screen. The visible shapes (round, square, and triangle) remain still within the frame or move on the spot by distorting their shape. In reality, the readable and the visible are electronically intertwined with the utmost subtlety, so that we see pyramids of letters twisting and liquefying. The voluminous, pyramidal expression "Vanishing Points" disappears and disintegrates before our very eyes. The tautology between image and text differentiates between them with the brilliance of a cut. In both a literal and tangible way, Gary Hill manages, as he expresses it, to show that "words speak only of themselves". The borderline between words and images, however, becomes incessantly more malleable and flexible. Words are things and things are words <b>...</b>

WIP Blocking - Flight of the Happenstance
Compare this to my storyboard to see the differences/similarities. Yeah I know its looking kinda shoddy right now and most definitely NOT complete (about 20-30s remaining), but I thought I'd put up the current version of my blocking work for my animation anyway. Since putting this together in one video, its revealed a few flaws such as some odd camera angles and timing issues, but hey, that's what this stage is for, right? About to start filling in those gaps with proper animation now.

Ahhh, Ahhhh, Ahhhh, and Ahhh. That is symptomatic of lying. NYPD police commissioner Bernie Kerrick has proven himself as a true corrupt criminal. Of course a criminal felon police chief sitting in prison would never be involved in the 9/11 inside job. Two crime scenes? Flight 93 did not crash in a field in Shanksville, that is why they do not mention the crime scene less than 24 hours later. There was a disportionate number of NYPD, Port Authority police, and firefighters versus civilians that survived deep in the WTC demolition debris. Pretty simple, Silverstein fronted them out. The crowd was moved four blocks back and told to wait and watch for the 4:30, then delayed to 5:30 WTC 7 firefighter demolition curtain call. ..... Larry Silverstein, the owner of the WTC complex, admitted on a September 2002 PBS documentary, 'America Rebuilds' that he and the NYFD decided to 'pull' WTC 7 on the day of the attack. The word 'pull' is industry jargon for taking a building down with explosives. Silverstein has never issued a retraction for his comments. Photos taken moments before the collapse of WTC 7 show small office fires on just two floors. Firefighters were told to move away from the building moments before it collapsed. In February of 2002 Silverstein Properties won $861 million from Industrial Risk Insurers to rebuild on the site of WTC 7.
