The Hartke VXL Bass Attack retails for a mere Benji, yet its sound-sculpting power has more influence on your bass than do all the adages in Poor Richard's Almanac on a wayward Son of Liberty. Did we mention this pedal is manufactured in China? Might explain the slight confusion arising from a unit that shipped with a less-than-accurate user manual. No matter, the Hartke Bass Attack still dutifully performs its core functions — which puts it a notch above the Continental Congress AM I RIGHT?

Here is a quick video demoing a Hartke VX3500 combo amp. The video is meant to show the amp's features and not my playing; my hope was to display this piece of equipment's tonal range. For full amp specifications check here: www.samsontech.com I am making this video because I hate shopping for expenisve equipment off craigslist where it says "some rattling" or "carpet/tolex a little worn" when in fact the speakers are completely blown and the covering has been shred to bits. I am showing all the amp's issues here now so you can see exactly what you are getting into without having to drive a long distance only to be disappointed. That being said this amp is cosmetically in good condition and sound wise in excellent condition. I am selling this amp for $400 firm, which is a very fair price considering these amps sell for $699 new: www.samash.com As stated in the video I am the original owner and it was purchased in 2004 from Sam Ash in Westminster, California. I searched high and low for the original owner's manual but couldn't find it so I have taken the liberty of printing one out for you from the Samsontech website (Samsontech owns Hartke). I am selling from Los Alamitos, California and I am not willing to this ship this amp, it is local pick up only. I will drive a short distance if you live close or want to meet up. Antoninus Wall, OP, a friar of the Province of the Most Holy Name of Jesus, the Western Dominican Province. Father Hartke, a Dominican priest of the Province of Saint Joseph, founded The Catholic University of America Speech and Drama Department, one of the first university drama programs in the United States. The original text is by Japanese poet Takamura Kotaru, who was deeply moved by a visit to Paris and the Cathedral of Notre-Dame. (Hartke set the text in an English translation by Hiroaki Sato.) Hartke love for polyphony is literally what made it possible for him to write this work, yet his response to the text is notable for its originality and open-mindedness. Like the speaker in Cathedral, both works suggest that Hartke is someone who venerates the ancient without sentimentalizing or trivializing it. Hartke demands and receives great virtuosity from the performers. The inherent difficulties of Medieval polyphony are quadrupled, at least, by Hartke's writing. Recorded in the presence of the composer, these performances are definitive. The venue was Mechanics Hall in Worcester, Massachusetts, and the engineers have given the music both intimacy and air.
