These are a new set of shorty headers I just installed over the stock exhaust manifold that were on my truck. Right off the bat, had better exhaust note, more hp, torque in the lower rpm range and idles alot better. Also lightend up the truck a few pounds by removing the cast-iron stockers for tubed headers. For the price you cant beat them for shortys, but one thing i did notice on the summit brand headers there is a tag that shows they are made by pace setter. SO if you look in the summit catalog and use 1997 Dodge Ram 1500 5.2 4x4 exhaust headers, look for the summit PN# SUM G9045 for a price of 154.95 then look for PaceSetter PN#PSM-70-1315 for 251.39 why pay more for the same thing. But they are awsome headers and you can not go wrong. These headers dump into a flowmaster supper 44 muffler. What must be noticed is on V6 and V8 model dodge rams there are no exhaust manifold gaskets on these motors from the factory. The only motor that came from the factory with a gasket was the V10 and the cummins. Gaskets are recommended for the header swap and you can get a set of Fel-Pro gaskets for 14 bucks from checker. This truck has Hypertech 160 thermostat, MSD 8.5 mm wires, E3 plugs, Hypertech Power progammer III, Air Raid TB spacer 1 inch, K&N Hi-flow filter, Summit headers, Flowmaster super 44 muffler, Royal purple 10 w30 oil, and royal purple in everything else. truck runs awsome

I didn't even drive by his house - he lives up the block the opposite direction. When he heads to the back of my car to take a pic of my license plate, I realize this could turn against me. Funny thing is, he doesn't actually recognize me until I get out of the car - then we "share the love".
