Hier das Video zur 11. Edition des Hillclimbing - made in Belgium - in Andler / Schönberg. Die tollkühnen Biker auf ihren modifizierten Motorrädern versuchen, den Berg zu besteigen. Der Beste kam bis auf wenige Zentimeter vors Ziel. Jede Menge spektakuläre Abgänge und Stürze - wobei, so erstaunlich das auch klingen mag, kein Fahrer ernsthaft verletzt wurde.

Footage of some racing Evo 6 Group sm (protos) from the Lebanese hillclimb championship. Very fast and noisy 400 bhp+ Evo6 with anti-lag. The blue (Red Bull) one is driven by Abdo Feghali, Middle east hillclimb champion, This evo 6 is unbeaten for some years now. These Evos are much faster than standard Group.N Evos, i'll try to capture what's under their hoods if i'm given the chance. I've been told that the blue one delivers more than 500 bhp on the dyno. An attempt by the "Monster" to break his own record of 10:01:41... COLORADO SPRINGS, CO (June 29, 2010) -- For the fifth consecutive time, Nobuhiro "Monster" Tajima combined experience, skill and Falken Tires to claim overall victory in the 88th running of the Pikes Peak International Hill Climb. Although he did not set a new Pikes Peak record, one day before his 60th birthday, Tajima continues to hold the current overall record for reaching the peak, beating hill climb veterans Paul Dallenbach and Rhys Millen in the Unlimited Class. He drove his new 910-hp Monster Sport Suzuki SX4 Hill Climb Special on Falken WildPeak A/T tires, the powerful new line of all-terrain, all-season tires Falken launched this past April. Following exhaustive tests in a Japanese wind tunnel facility, Monster's 2010 Pikes Peak race car underwent extensive aerodynamic changes to better adapt to the modified road surface on the race to the clouds, which assumed a smoother tarmac and less gravel than last year. Thinning air ascending the mountain robs most motors of their power by 30 or more percent, but the increase in horsepower over last year's race car helped push the driver forward.

Gravelrama 2010 #6 Hill Climb
Gravelrama 40 was held August 25-30 this year in Cleves, Ohio outside of Cincinnati. The East Coast 4 Wheel Drive Association event includes rock crawling, bracket sand drag racing, class sand drag racing, uphill drag racing, pea gravel hill climb, obstacle course, and even a parade through town. The hill climb is a fan favorite and didn't disappoint this year with well over two hundred runs.

The event is held the weekend before Labor Day weekend every year. It is an East Coast 4 Wheel Drive Association EC4WDA sanctioned event.

Nick Mann's Mannic Beattie hillclimb car
This is Nick Manns self designed and built Mannic Beattie. It is powered by a Ford BDA engine (starts at 38.0 seconds in to the clip), driven by a Turbo which is itself powered by an auxiliary power unit (APU) which keeps the turbo spinning at full boost all the time. This was recorded at Shelsley Walsh in July 2005. The car is four wheel drive, and is incredibly quick off the line, recording times of under 1.9 seconds for the uphill 64 feet marker, which is in excess of 2G off the line. Nick starts the BDA at 38.0s. Then watch for Nick to raise his hand, and then listen carefully for the APU to startup (the high pitched whine), which is started by compressed air, and operated by the helper standing alongside. BMW Hillclimb Racers E21 / E30 / E46
I made this compilation from an old tape shot during a Hillclimb race in Lebanon in 2009. Even though the image quality is poor, i wanted to show these lovely "old-school" bimmers to the fans of M-Power. They are fast, noisy and a pleasure to watch if a good driver's behind the wheel. Some of them have crazy engine swaps like the yellow 323i E30 at the end and the black/white E30 M3. They both have tuned S54E32 engines from the E46 M3. The red E46 is a made-from-scratch car based on a 330Ci chassis. The engine, which unfortunately broke that day (you can hear the 'boom' at the end of the sequence) is also a modified S54B32.
