I traveled to Michigan and we stopped in Detroit to visit the wonderful historical Motown Museum. It was such a great historical experience that I won't ever forget!!! Cameras were not allowed inside although I have seen many videos of the Motown museum on youtube where people have took pictures inside.

The top 10 American Idol contestants visited Hitsville USA to record for next week's show. Berry Gordy & Smokey Robinson were the Motown mentors. I ran to Hitsville and was able to see our American Idols in person!. We screamed "DANNY" for Danny Gokey at the end and he turned, smiled and waved. They all looked great!

A Hitsville Soul Club Tribute to Alan Pollard
In 2007 it was uncertain that Alan Pollard was coming to the Hitsville weekender, but after the announcement of the Dynodynamics/Harthon guys being the guests of honor, he made the journey across to the Uinited States despite his health conditions. Being able to have him at the event was a real privilege and his records were top notch. I'm very thankful that I captured some of his set with my video camera. In the beginning, you see Weldon A. McDougal III enjoying one of his records being played by Alan. The picture quality on this video isn't the best, but the sound quality is great and from what you can see of Alan, he was into his music and well loved by all, not just the Hitsville gang...but everyone. RIP Alan...we'll never forget you.

REQUEST SONG from my friend Aggie (.laggie24, )."Baby I Need Your Loving" is a 1964 hit single recorded by The Four Tops for the Motown label. Written and produced by Motown's main production team HollandDozierHolland, the song was the group's first Motown single and their first pop Top 20 hit, making it to number eleven on the Billboard Hot 100 in the fall of 1964.It was also their first million-selling hit single. British group The Fourmost released their version of this song, reaching #24 in November 1964. A surviving episode of the trendy '60's TV music series Ready Steady Go! shows them performing the song. The song was recorded by Johnny Rivers in 1967. His version, titled "Baby I Need Your Lovin'", was released as a single, and became a number-three hit on the Billboard pop chart. OC Smith covered it and took it to #52 in 1970, and yet again by Eric Carmen in 1979, who took it to #62. Rolling Stone ranked The Four Tops' original version of the song #390 on their list of the 500 Greatest Songs of All Time.
