Inspired by top comments in videos of the original version, I looped and edited the great Nujabes' Aruarian Dance into a seamless 59 minute version for those studious youtubers to listen to and enjoy ;) I know it might be just as convenient to listen to the original 4 minute version on repeat, so one perk I tried to add was to make this edit sound smooth and continuous. Sorry about the lack of artwork; I needed to make it a video but was too lazy to find any pictures or animations to stick together. After years of bringing the freshest underground house sounds to an ever-growing following in their home town of Amsterdam, these two Dutch youngsters were catapulted onto the underground house clique following their head turning 'Fissa Tune EP' on Exploited earlier this year. On meeting the guys on a recent trip to the 'Dam and hearing the Trumpet Express demo; a hypnotic trumpet line combined with the duo's illusory sampling style and underpinned by beautifully simple, yet pounding house beats, label boss Jesse Rose signed the EP quicker than you can say 'where can I buy clogs and some tulip oil please?' The Trumpet Express video then - is a tapestry of footage from various short (mostly 16m) films made by one of Britons most visionary, experimental filmmakers, Jeff Keen. Keen's extremely imaginative and loose efforts span over various, culturally important, decades - from the beatnik Sixties to the cold war Nineties - and deploy a wide range of different cinematic techniques - from brutal stop motion animation to psychedelic, multi-layered live action. Most of his shorts, which star a returning ensemble of actors comprised of friends and family, have a cartoon-esque quality to them, lack narrative straightforwardness and are generally unconventional. Although Homework's main passion lies in cutting edge and forward thinking house music, they consider cinema as a estranged mistress and a major influence in their unique take on modern music.
