TeamLiquid Attack is a fun, casual event where a popular professional StarCraft 2 player plays custom 1v1s against community members. Typically, the player attempts creative or non-serious strategies while sharing friendly banter with the hosts. The show is a great way to get to know the personality of the player that might not normally be seen in serious ladder games or in tournaments. This week we have FXO's Sheth with hosts Chill and Hot_Bid.

Friday 13th July 2007, Daum OSL Semi-Finals GGPlay (Z)vs(T) By.Flash, Best of 5 Game 1 @ Fantasy Game 2 @ Hitchhiker Game 3 @ Python Game 4 & 5: www.youtube.com The winner will face Iris. who defeated Stork 3-0 in the first Semi-Finals ( www.youtube.com ), loser will play another Bo5 set against Stork for the 3rd place (and 3rd seed for next OSL season). After starting to write a description for this set, I found myself just thinking of what Etter wrote in his beautiful preview on TeamLiquid.net and he wrote it so well! I'll just quote his description, all credits to DJEtterStyle from TeamLiquid.net: "Despite my considerable excitement, I had a hard time writing the preview for this series (and it probably shows!). I poured over statistics and studied maps and watched games and theorized builds and drank liter upon liter of vodka, but in the end, my only coherent thought was this: we just don't know. We don't. We don't know who's going to show up to the games tonight. It could be a consistent, skilled veteran who's finally ready to take the plunge into stardom by brutally crushing the hopes and dreams of a young upstart. Or it could be another GoodFriend, a strong player who's never going to clear that great player 'hump'. Likewise, we could see the micro-oriented art form that is TvZ taken to a whole new level by a player whose youthful strength simply has no equal, a player who embodies the proverb, "Experience should fear the strength of youth." Or we could see an over ...

GGPlay vs Iris[gm] @ Daum OSL Grand Finals Game5 @ Python, Saturday July 21st 2007, Munsu (Soccer) Cup Stadium at Ulsan. 1st place cash prize: 43668 $US 2nd place cash prize: 21834 $US [Awards ceremony at the end of the video, Winner interview at the end of description, and the *video response* is the ending clip and is a MAJOR SPOILER- only watch it after you're done] After re-encoding 3 times! I really didn't want to post this game in 2 parts, it deserves a single part, and I wanted to keep the awards ceremony with it, so I had to try various encoding methods, until I finally found the perfect one :-) The result was 99.89 MB! :-) Enjoy this amazing game, one of the best games every played! A true worthy epic, both players can honestly be proud! Notice there's absolutely NO bitterness in the loser's voice/face after the game in the interview, he's actually proud! Thats why this was the perfect 5th set for OSL finals, Starcraft beauty :-) DJEtterStyle's thought on this upcoming match: (please read his entire news article here: www.teamliquid.net ) "Game 5 @ Python I've said this regarding pretty much every Bo5 I've previewed, but the point is so important that I have to drive it home: as fans, there's nothing better than seeing a series go to a single, decisive game. In terms of sheer tension and entertainment, nothing in StarCraft can compare. Imagine the amount of time that GGPlay and Iris have practiced specifically for these games—somewhere in the realm of 100 hours ...

Friday 13th July 2007, Daum OSL Semi-Finals GGPlay (Z)vs(T) By.Flash, Best of 5 Games 1-3: www.youtube.com Game 4 @ Monty Hall Game 5 @ Fantasy [Winner interview at the end of description] The winner will face Iris. who defeated Stork 3-0 in the first Semi-Finals ( www.youtube.com ), loser will play another Bo5 set against Stork for the 3rd place (and 3rd seed for next OSL season). Continuing with DJEtterStyle's great preview (first part in video description of Games 1-3) from TeamLiquid.net: "Game 4 -- Monty Hall I'm expecting GGPlay to jump on the bandwagon and employ the ever-so-effective, ever-so-funky ZvT build that Silver pioneered on Monty. But more importantly, I'm expecting Flash to scout for the initial, offensive hatchery that is so critical for the success of that build and have an effective counter prepared, something along the lines of a floating barracks or a barracks crush in order to squeeze a few marines through the mineral wall. Knowing that Flash will inevitably have a counter prepared, GGPlay might try to vary the build by going up one of the side corridors, but because he's never played a ZvT on Monty Hall, I have to believe he'll acquiesce to something that's proven so effective for other players. Game 5 -- Fantasy If the series makes it this far, we, as fans, will really have something to cheer about. While most players prepare an ace strategy for the deciding game of a series, there's something about Flash and GGPlay that makes me believe that ...

If you haven't yet, watch Ep5 first: Ep5 Part 1: www.youtube.com Ep5 Part 2: www.youtube.com Here is an amazing blog about the twins, by GTR-2-Go from TeamLiquid, all credits to GTR-2-Go for the amazing writeup! "When these two first burst onto the scene in early 2005, big things were expected from them. They were identical twins, recruited onto the same pro team, with alot of talent. KOR (now OGN Sparkyz) had the intent of turning them into the main Zerg players for their team. Veteran Zerg's like Side would get their well-deserved retirement while aspiring Zerg's like Max who had initial talent, were transfered to other teams. Both players have performed extremely well in both individual and teamleague matches. Let's take a look at their statistics. Park Myung-Soo - Yellow[ArnC] All: 50-46 (52.08%) vT: 23-17 (57.50%) vZ: 16-17 (48.48%) vP: 11-12 (47.83%) Park Chan-Soo - Luxury[GsP] All: 38-27 (58.46%) vT: 13-9 (59.09%) vZ: 16-10 (61.54%) vP: 9-8 (52.94%) As you can see, Luxury is statistically the better brother, with a 6.38% increase on his Overall Record. The only thing that hurts both brothers, is their Zerg vs Protoss play. It is not very impressive nor dynamic. But this now I will talk about their main strength. That's right, their breathtaking agressive Mutalisk control. It is dynamic, explosive and that damaging to you, that you can lose a game by just pure mutalisks. Many Zerg Progamers, for example, Jaedong, have taken on the "Muta-Micro-Win" trend. Jaedong ...
