Where you can stall and read the paper, where you can get your caffeine fix and sit and stay there. Where you can browse the stacks and smell the books. This buck doesn't know he is supposed to be a vegetarian! Birds were flying in and running into the head of this young buck in our front yard. I was watching through the window, and I did'nt know why the birds were attacking him. Then, I saw the little bird on the ground. The other birds had only been trying to distract the deer. I decided not to exchange the audio with music because when I played the video back, I realized my overly dramatic reaction was funny. Yes, I know I have a country accent. Learn how to eat crab the right way. Brian Leitner, co-owner of Netties Crab Shack, shares the right and wrong ways to eat Dungeness crab. Leitner sees hundreds of crabs eaten at this time of year (its currently Dungeness Crab Week in San Francisco), and hes watched customers do many wrong things: leave the best bits behind in the body, avoid the crab butter (a delicacy for some), and crack the shell into the meat. He wants us to do the right things: use the mallet to gently crack the body, use the tip of the claw as a digging tool, and always get the hidden meat out.

Kids Marshmallow Experiment
The marshmallow experiment is a famous test of this concept conducted by Walter Mischel at Stanford University and discussed by Daniel Goleman in his popular work. In the 1960s, a group of four-year olds were given a marshmallow and promised another, only if they could wait 20 minutes before eating the first one. Some children could wait and others could not. The researchers then followed the progress of each child into adolescence, and demonstrated that those with the ability to wait were better adjusted and more dependable (determined via surveys of their parents and teachers), and scored an average of 210 points higher on the Scholastic Aptitude Test.
