Now when dirt, dust and hair get on the mother board, or inside the fan, this can cause your laptop to over heat, which can damage the components inside costing much more money than you want to spend. An unusual hot base, or hot air coming out of the outlets, or the computer just randomly shutting off, these are all signs of your laptop overheating. And, it's also a sign that it's time to clean your laptop. Simply, just use a soft damp cloth to wipe the outside of your laptop. And if there are any spots that won't just come off with the cloth, I suggest using rubbing alcohol. Do not use any household cleaning products. I would use a cotton swab to clean any of the openings in the computer, or compressed air in a can, to get any dust, hair or dirt. Personally I prefer to use a laptop cleaning kit, which you can find at any store that sells computers.
