We shot it 1080/24p on DVCPRO HD straight to aa firestore. This camera is amazing. Once you get all the accessories on there, it becomes a huge camera, at least twice the weight.

A quick comparison between the Canon Rebel T2i and the Panasonic HVX200. The tests mainly focus on color and depth of field, but there's a panning (rolling shutter) and an audio test too. The audio test was supposed to be of both cameras, but oddly I lost the audio on my HVX footage, so you just get the Canon side. I hate to admit this, but some of the rack focus tests are a bit weak, in that the zooms on the two cameras were so different that I had to get much closer to my subject to get a rack focus with the Canon, so if you notice any usual difference in perspective between the two that's why. Obviously the DOF is variable on the Canon since it has interchangeable lenses, but I only had one lens. Look carefully at the hand-held shots of the Canon. You'll see evidence of the "rolling shutter" along the edges of the picture, even when it's not moving that fast. Surprisingly, the quick pans don't show rolling shutter as bad as I thought they would. I also took footage at night with the Canon, but not the HVX. The T2i takes awesome pictures in low-light, but that's kind of known already, so posting it here seemed redundant.

This is a stop motion and slow motion test that i edited in final cut pro. Ellie Goulding - Under The Sheets *Jakwob Remix I ive got a fair amount of footage on my computer so i decided to do a test edit using twixtor, so i thought why not throw the stop motion in there too. as you an see there is alot of artifacting in some of the shots, if i was to use twixtor again in the Future i would plan my shoots carefully. The stop motion has had twixtor applied to it too. Instead on changing the speed in twixtor i used the frame number as i found this alot easier to match up the footage with parts of the song. changing the settings in twixtor would help massively so its well worth a play around with it. i think all video was shot at 50p, some of the snowboarding was shot at 60p, with a variation of different shutter speeds. all stop motion was done using the canon 550d/T2i and the skateboarding was shot on it to. Everything else was shot on a hvx. The video capabilities of the 550d/t2i is great, espeailly when using a fast lens. There was huge amount of rendering times in the video, if it was all un-rendered it would proably take about 10 hours, but bearing in mind every shot had twixtor applied, colour correted and some of them smoothcamed too. In total i would say its was about 60 - 80 hours edit time on this one so i hope you enjoy. make sure your plugged in to a good sound system or you got head phones in beause the tune is pretty bangin.
