So much to say, so little time, such fast talking. We chat about 3 different major contributions he made to the world - his decryption work during WWII and the Engima Machine; his abstract model of a computer (the Turing Machine) and what things can be effectively "computed"; and finally, briefly only, his thoughts about what it is to be human and the difference between humans and computers - the Turing Test. I wanted to build a multiple boat dispenser in my minecraft world because I kept having issues with my boats floating away into the ocean and cluttering up the place. After searching around a long time for tutorials on how to build one; I couldn't find any... so I designed my own system. This video demonstrates how it works and shows the design (so that people can copy it and maybe even improve it). The goal was simplicity. Basically, if I want a boat, all I need to do is push a button. It took a lot of tweaking to get it working properly because I had constant problems with the boats getting stuck. It seems to work now 100% without any boat jams. My system holds 6 boats, but this number can easily be increased by repeating the boat hold pattern (6x8x3 space). Just make sure your dispenser button and boat holds are within 300 blocks of each other.

This is the beginning framework of the Enterprise - D in Minecraft ----- I didn't think this would go viral so quickly! It's not even done and on top of that, the Minecraft servers are down so I can't put it up... Some quick answers to some questions. Thanks for all the warm kudos. I'll take some time to tell you guys about how I made the ship and what my plans are for it. I've always wanted to make a 1:1 scale model of the Enterprise-D. Even when I was a kid, I thought how cool it would be to build the ship and live in it. One project I embarked on about a year ago was to build a 1:1 scale model of the enterprise in Sketchup. I got pretty far too. Sadly, my hard drive blew and I lost six months of work. The only thing I had was my original framework and It was just too painful to start over. One of the things that was not lost was the deck plans and a nice computer-friendly vector format, converted from the Whitefire plans (Not the Okuda ones). The plans are pretty rough, but workable. One day I need to go through and clean them up. The Minecraft world uses 1m^3 blocks, ans so, I simply converted my already scaled plans into a format that minecraft could take and imported each deck in batch, leaving 4 spaces in between for walls The original Enterprise is 642.5 Meters x 467.0 Meters x 137.5 Meters. Last august i had a friend ask me if i seen anything in the homemade version of air comfort and asked me if i could make one that was decent for maybe camping, or taking on a trip? He had just told me a lil about them but not shown me one, well after i seen what was out there, i think its a lil better setup and compact, i think there is $40 in the fan and pump, the rest i had in the garage, It reminded me of a science project, :) took me about a day to make, as long as you have ice, it works great, best to freeze block ice and use, they last way longer , OR you can use DRY ICE on top of the wet ice, and it will make it last a long longer, but i never tried that yet, just tried it with wet ice, 30 minute test took 104 degree to 85 degrees, in the back of my truck in the camper shell on a hot day with high humidity, Enjoy
