World War 2 Video Sad

Music listed below. Focus only on the video and nothing else for maximum effect. Just a little montage I put together. It chronicles the Allied/Axis conflict in Europe. This video has drawn alot of political/morale debate. Please remember, everyone has their opinions, please be respectful of that. Also, a lot of people ask where I got the clips from, I simply got them off of the youtube site. I am in no way taking credit for any of the footage, I simply put the pieces together. I recommend to you to go out and find these clips and watch them. I simply made this video as a tribute for the sake of war. I wanted to create a piece of art, nothing more, nothing less. Music is "Hear Our Prayer" by Yuki Kajiura Kajiura is simply one of the best OST Artists ever. Doing the soundtracks for such titles as Noir, El Cazador De La Bruja, and Tsubasa Chronicle. Very good instrumental work, and the music goes perfectly with the pictures in this video.

Allied Victory in World War II Documentary: D-Day to VE Day (WW2 Film 1945)

DVD: www.amazon.com thefilmarchive.org The True Glory was a 1945 co-production of the US Office of War Information and the British Ministry of Information, documenting the victory on the Western Front, from Normandy to the collapse of the Third Reich. Although many individuals contributed to the film, British director Carol Reed is normally credited as the director. The film was promoted with the tagline, "The story of your victory...told by the guys who won it!" It won the Academy Award for Best Documentary Feature. The documentary is notable for using multiple first person perspectives as narrative voices, somewhat in the manner of Tunisian Victory, except this time, instead of just an American GI and a British Tommie, the voices include a Canadian, a French resister, a Parisan civilian family, an African-American tank gunner, and several female perspectives including a nurse, and clerical staff. The film is introduced by General Dwight D. Eisenhower, Supreme Commander of Allied Forces in Europe, and many other prominent individuals appear in it including General George S. Patton. The Allies of World War II were the countries that opposed the Axis powers during the Second World War (1939--1945). Former Axis states contributing to the allied victory are not considered Allied states. The Allies became involved in World War II either because they had already been invaded, were directly threatened with invasion by the Axis or because they were concerned that the Axis powers <b>...</b>

Go to: www.worldwar2treasure.com if you are interested in high adventure and want to participate in recovering World War 2 treasure. Massive looting as an extension of war is nothing new. The Japanese were serious, sober, and deliberate when they methodically and systematically looted thirteen Asian Countries during World War 2. They took treasure including precious diamonds and other gems, gold bullion, and solid gold Buddha's out of every hiding place. Much of this treasure did not make it back to Japan due to a World War 2 naval blockade of the Philippine islands by the United States, and has been recovered recently in underground hiding places. Widespread and systematic looting took place during World War 2 throughout Europe and Asia. For details, go to: www.worldwar2treasure.com

Here Is Germany: World War 2 Propaganda Documentary Film Directed by Frank Capra (1945)

DVD: www.amazon.com thefilmarchive.org Here is Germany was a 1945 propaganda documentary film directed by Frank Capra. Like its companion film, Know Your Enemy: Japan, the film is a full-length exploration of why one of the two major Axis countries started World War II and what had to be done to keep them from "doing it again". The film opens with scenes of everyday life in Germany, described by narrator Walter Huston. It shows people such as housewives, mailmen, farmers and policemen at work, and notes that these people were not so different than us, and seem like people Americans can understand. Anthony Veiller then interrupts with "Or can we?", as the film then switches to a montage of Nazi concentration camps and piles of dead bodies. The narrator notes that this is not the only time that Germany has unleashed war on the world, stating that while its generation fought the "Nazis", its fathers fought the "Huns" (pejorative term for Germany during World War I), and its grand father remembers the "Prussians". The narrator claims that its was all part of the same German lust for conquest. Going even further back 150 years, the film informs us that while America, Britain, and France were forming their democratic traditions, Germany was a group of 300 medieval feudal states, not one of them with a constitution or parliament. The film traces the rise of Prussia from Frederick the Great through Bismarck, telling the audience that the Prussian state was dominated first by <b>...</b>

Conquest by Air: World War II Documentary (1945)

DVD: www.amazon.com thefilmarchived.blogspot.com The second Schweinfurt raid bombed World War II ball bearing factories to reduce production of these vital parts for all manner of war machines. Named Black Thursday because the loss of aircrewmen was the highest for any USAAF mission. The American Official History of the Army Air Forces in the Second World War acknowledged losses had been so heavy that the USAAF would not return to the target for four months; "The fact was that the Eighth Air Force had for the time being lost air superiority over Germany." The film Twelve O'Clock High (1949) dramatized a similar, but fictitious, air raid. The Schweinfurt--Regensburg mission was an air combat battle in World War II. A strategic bombing attack flown by B-17 Flying Fortresses of the US Army Air Forces on August 17, 1943, it was conceived as an ambitious plan to cripple the German aircraft industry. The mission was also known as the "double-strike mission" because it entailed two large forces of bombers attacking separate targets in order to disperse fighter reaction by the Luftwaffe, and was the first "shuttle" mission, in which all or part of a mission landed at a different field and later bombed another target returning to its base. After being postponed several times by unfavorable weather, the operation, known within the Eighth Air Force as "Mission No. 84", was flown on the anniversary of the first daylight raid by the Eighth Air Force. World War II with Walter Cronkite - The Seeds of War - Part 1/11

Episode 1: "From Kaiser to Fuhrer", first part This is a really epic documentary series released in 1983 by Cronkite's Broadcast Studio (you know which one). This particular episode deals with the fundamental causes that led to the rise of the Nazi party in Weimar Germany in the run up to World War 2. The audio gets off a little bit towards the end of the video, but it's only noticeable when Mr. Cronkite is talking. I fixed it for subsequent parts. My collection of this series is all on Beta tapes apparently once purchased by my parents. The tapes are not numbered in any way, and the episodes deal with individual topics rather than going in chronological order, so I'll do my best to upload them in some sort of sensible sequence. It may, however, take quite some time to upload them all.

Japanese Expansionism Before and During World War Two (WWII) - Part 1

Japan, nevertheless, fears the possibility of American competition, particularly in Manchuria, where she has been pursuing a policy by which foreign, including American, goods must be subordinated in that market to Japanese goods, and must be sold through Japanese firms. Potentially this policy is meaningless because, if China and Manchuria are to be modernized, no one country, surely not Japan, can supply either the quantity or the variety of goods and services required. Yet Japan's attitude is resented and has been accepted as a frontal attack on American trade. The Russians do not believe that the New Deal will succeed. They generally hold that it will be impossible for the United States to put its vast industrial and agrarian population back to work without developing foreign markets. They maintain that the capitalistic system of distribution makes it inevitable for the United States ultimately to seek such markets and China offers a favorable arena for American economic exploitation. Therefore, the argument proceeds, if the New Deal should fail, it will become necessary for the Unites States to enter the Chinese market aggressively. This the Japanese fear as well. Some Japanese go even further. They fear that if re-employment fails in the United States, a war with Japan may become an economic necessity. It is this fear which has played upon by Japanese apostles of a big Navy. But potentialities and fears of failure of recovery of the Unites States cannot altogether <b>...</b>

The Hymn has been sung at the funerals of such people as; the British hero Winston Churchill, Robert F Kennedy and Reagen to name a few. It was written amid the chaos of the American Civil War, and since it's conception has been an important part of our country's soul. When sung beautifully, it often brings tears to the eyes of real Americans.

(1/5) Dangerous Missions - Taranto - World War II

In 1940, British forces began battling the Italians in North Africa. While the Italians were easily able to supply their troops, the logistical situation for the British proved more difficult as their ships had to traverse almost the entire Mediterranean. Early in the campaign, the British were able to control the sea lanes, however by mid-1940 the tables were beginning to turn, with the Italians outnumbering them in every class of ship except aircraft carriers. Though they possessed superior strength, the Italians were unwilling to fight, preferring to follow a strategy of preserving a "fleet in being." Concerned that Italian naval strength be reduced before the Germans could aid their ally, Prime Minister Winston Churchill issued orders that action be taken on the issue. Planning for this type of eventuality had begun as early as 1938, during the Munich Crisis, when Royal Navy leaders first conceived an operation calling for an aerial attack on the Italian fleet base at Taranto. This plan was reactivated in September 1940, when its principal author, Rear Admiral Lumley Lyster, joined Admiral Sir Andrew Cunningham's Mediterranean fleet with the new carrier HMS Illustrious. Codenamed Operation Judgment, Cunningham and Lyster planned to attack Taranto on October 21, Trafalgar Day, with aircraft from HMS Illustrious and HMS Eagle. This was later changed following fire damage to Illustrious and action damage to Eagle. While Eagle was being repaired, it was decided to press <b>...</b>

(1/6) World War II Code Breakers

The Purple Machine was an Allied codename for one of several Japanese cipher machines used during World War Two. The nickname Purple Machine was derived from the name of the code the machine produced. The first intercepted Japanese code was dubbed "Orange" by American code breakers. As the codes increased in sophistication and difficulty to decipher, cryptologists referred to the various cipher permutations with the names of colors. "Purple" was the most difficult Japanese code to break, and was used to transmit diplomatic messages from 1939 until 1945. The mechanics of the Purple Machine were similar to other Axis encoding machines, such as the German Enigma cipher. The Purple Machine used the twenty-six-letter Latin alphabet, programmed into a pegboard with corresponding wires that governed cipher wheels, or rotors. The machine itself consisted of a typewriter joined by wires and a circuit board to a series of four rotors that shifted the type in various permutations on a second typewriter to produce coded text. The coded text was sent by wire, preceded by a series of coded numbers that revealed the permutations used to create the code. With the setting adjusted as specified, the encoded text could then be deciphered by again running it through the machine. While many pre-war Japanese codes were broken mathematically with pen and paper, effectively deciphering Purple required constructing an identical cipher machine. American cryptologist William Friedman built a <b>...</b>

Russian Front - The 3rd in a series of a chronologically accurate video compilation. In this video, I focus mainly on the Eastern front showing many major battles. Mainly Stalingrad, Kursk, Kharkov, Leningrad, and the turning of the tables on the German juggernaut. Again, all three songs are from the famous world war 2 video game Medal of Honor. Composed by Michael Giacchino. There are many events which i missed during the time which the video's cover. Notably: Midway, North African campaign won, Invasion of Italy, Burma campaign, and many other events in the pacific. hopefully I will get to include these in my next video. Enjoy
