This is an insurgent-produced videotape captured during a raid on August 5, 2007, in Nahrawan, Iraq, about 20 miles due east of Baghdad. In the video, you will see insurgents setting up about 50 rocket launchers all aimed at American soldiers, and firing the rockets at American positions. Thirty four of the rocket launchers held Iranian 107mm rockets.

BAGRAM AIR FIELD, Afghanistan - Combined Joint Task Force-82 has released video of an air weapons team engaging and killing insurgents when responding to the insurgents' complex attack on a small patrol base in Paktia province May 27. The video shows 14 insurgents carrying automatic rifles, rocket propelled grenades and a mortar round fleeing the scene after they attacked the outpost with indirect fire, rocket propelled grenades and smalls arms fire. The pilot of an Apache AH64 helicopter is heard verbally checking to make sure the militants are far enough away from any qalats, or Afghan homes, so that shooting the militants will not endanger any civilians. The attack helicopter checks six times to ensure there will be no collateral damage before receiving permission to engage the insurgents. After the helicopter engages the insurgents from the air, US troops continue fighting the insurgents on the ground. The entire fire fight lasted more than five hours. Afghan National Army and ISAF service members conducted an assessment of the area, finding at least 15 militant forces killed, numerous small arms and a mortar system. No ANA or International Security Assistance Forces were injured during the attack. The incident resulted in no civilian casualties. Kenya's ongoing military incursion to flush out the terror group Al Shabaab from Somalia continues to weaken the threat posed by the militiamen in the war torn country as the Kenyan troops approach the towns of Kismayu and Afmadow. Kenyan defence forces dealt another blow to the Somali based Al Shabaab fighters, killing about 10 rebels in two airstrikes in the Al Shabaab held towns of Jilib and Bibi , south of Afmadhow. 8 vehicles belonging to the Al Shabaab were also hit in the ongoing operation 'Linda Nchi'. This was an extremely fun mission to make! I started off taking the perspective of the ambushed UN soldiers, but I later realised the mission seemed a bit more cinematic if I took the role of the insurgents. The mission revolves around an IED attack taking out the first of a 3 car UN convoy, and then the insurgents ambushing the surviving vehicles. A fierce firefight breaks out, and soon enough US soldiers arrive on the scene to back the UN guys up, and the insurgents flee. (The insurgents genuinely did run away completely on their own account, they realised the US were way stronger so they ran off) The music is from the Ink Soundtrack, and is called Johns Walk. Enjoy! Any questions please ask, and I will try my best to answer! ps: When I was first developing the mission as a UN soldier, the most awesome thing happened. After the first car exploded, our car came under light machine gun fire. The driver was hit, and I saw his head slump over the wheel. He was shot whilst on the throttle, and the car veered off into a rock and flipped over several times. We all scrambled out the car, and as I ran away an RPG flew in and absolutely obliterated it. The most awesome AI experience I have ever had, I was so sad that I didn't record it! :(
