Here we have my first test of rendering a fluid dynamic simulation with M4D-IRAY (www.m4d.info for Cinema 4d. This is in my opinion by far the best GPU/CUDA rendering solution for Cinema 4D. The fluid simulation itself was calculated using DpitFX (www.dpit2.de and the mesh cashed, as I wanted to evaluate only the rendering time of IRAY. The rendering was done on an Nvidia Ge Force GTX 590 with 1024 GPU processors. The time to render each frame was 4 seconds at 640x480 pixels (with HDRI Global Illum. and Refl.). This is about 1000% faster than on a i7 quad core CPU. The benefit in comparison to the other GPU systems that I tried for C4D (Octane, Indigo, Lux, ect..) is that IRAY renders from directly inside C4D. Meaning the interactability is extreme and you don't lose time every frame having to export your entire scene. In my opinion IRAY is the only system that is useable in a production system.
