Follow me on Twitter: www.twitter.com Ladies and gentlemen, I am extremely proud to present the most ambitious project I have worked on to date. I give you "The Star Spangled Symphony". I've wanted to do a project based on The "Star Spangled Banner" for a long time, but the challenge was always a bit daunting. With such a deep appreciation for the anthem, if I was going to do a project based on it, I wanted to give it every bit of respect it deserved. That's probably the main reason why it took so long to get off the ground. The final version you see now is the result of me thinking way outside the box. I wanted to take it so far above and beyond anything I've ever worked on before, so I knew going into it that it was going to be a long and tough road. I had plenty of successes and frustrations and redesigns and headaches, and in the end, I am completely thrilled with how it turned out. Fun facts about the project: number of years I've wanted to do an anthem project: 4 number of times I went back to the drawing board: 3 computers used: 3 computers that couldn't handle the strain and died: 1 computers purchased: 1 total number of files that make up the project: 332940 hard drive space used: 382.5 GB hard drives purchased: 2 hard drives that crashed: 0 (woohoo!!) total length of footage shot: 3 hours, 10 minutes, 59 seconds total render time: 1098 hours, 34 minutes neon green poster board used for the greenscreen: 43 number of times the greenscreen fell apart: 2 number of <b>...</b>

Šie drąsūs piliečiai nežinojo, kokia ateitis jų laukia. Iš tiesų, prireikė daugiau nei metų ir tragiškų taikių protestuotojų aukų, kol Maskvos valdžia galiausiai pripažino jūsų nepriklausomybę. Tačiau nepaisant tų nežinomybės metų, pilnų smurto ir pokyčių skausmo, Lietuvos žmonės neatsisakė savo pasiryžimo išsaugoti nepriklausomybę ir atgauti laisvę. Ir tai darydami jūs tapote vilties švyturiu siekiantiesiems laisvės visame pasaulyje. Šiandien mes žvelgiame į šį įvykį kaip į lemtingą istorinį Sovietų sąjungos griūties momentą bei kaip į ženklą, žymintį laisvės ir demokratijos kelią į Baltijos šalis, Rytų ir Centrinę Europą. Švęsdami atgimimo dvidešimtmetį mes privalome žvelgti į ateitį taip pat tvirtai ir vieningai. Dabar atėjo išbandymų metas, kai ateitis nėra aiški, tačiau Jungtinės Valstijos išlieka Jūsų tvirta partnerė ir ištikima draugė, tad XXI amžiaus iššūkius mes pasitiksime kartu. Kai kuriuos jų, negalėdama išginti, Bažnyčia įtraukė į savo apeigas.Išlikę senieji elementai -- vandens, ugnies, augmenijos simbolika, tokie papročiai, kaip vainikų pynimas, meilės bei vestuvių burtai, žoliavimas ir kupoliavimas, paparčio žiedo ieškojimas, laužų kūrenimas, šokinėjimas per ugnį ir pan. Ar galima ilgiausią metų naktį praleisti nesilinksminant, nešokant ir nežaidžiant, neieškant paparčio žiedo ir nesigėrint užburiančia laužo liepsna? Renginio organizatoriai -- restoranas „Kunigaikščių užeiga", „Show centras" ir renginio globėjas Pasaulio Lietuvių centras šventei ruošėsi labai atsakingai. Skaniausias maistas, įdomiausi renginiai, geriausi atlikėjai -- kad ilgiausia diena būtų dar ilgesnė, o laužo šviesoje naktis taptų dar trumpesnė.

Craig Cramer plays two Fritts Pipe Organs
JAV Recordings a Video Travel Blog Over the past two weeks four recordings were made for upcoming releases with Craig Cramer and Stephen Tharp. They played 3 outstanding American pipe organ located in: Saint Joseph's Cathedral, RC in Columbus, Ohio; DeBartolo Performing Arts Center at the University of Notre Dame in Notre Dame, Indiana and Goshen College in Goshen, Indiana. The three different organs where built by two of the most renown organbuilding firms in the United States: Paul Fritts and Taylor & Boody. Craig Cramer is featured in this video. He is Professor of Organ at the University of Notre Dame. This video blog was taped on August 4th in Columbus, OH and August 11th in Notre Dame, IN.
