Video Magazine | InVenture Fund

InVenture supports small business owners in the developing world. Here's a short interview with Shivani Siroya, the personable and passionate founder and CEO of InVenture ("Invest in good"), an online platform that allows everyday individuals to invest directly in business owners of their choosing in Ghana, Mali, India and Mexico, thus helping lift their communities out of poverty. It's another brilliant example of how micro-finance and crowd-funding can make a real difference in the lives of both individuals and local communities. Shivani, whose background is in microfinance and public health, notes that her organization partners with microfinance institutions and non-governmental organizations to identify business owners to include in the marketplace and then goes beyond those traditional ties to bring the wider community to the table as well. I've made an investment and hope you will, too. Lyrics Peace in the Middle East. Peace in the Middle East. You've got peace, peace, peace In the Middle East. Peace, peace, peace In the Middle East Peace, peace, peace In the Middle East. Peace. Do what you have to do. Sleep when the day is through. You've gotta work all day To get your money on. Work all day Until your fever's gone. Work all day 'Til your soul's released In the Middle East. In the Middle East. In the Middle East. Walk when you want to fly. Live when you wanna die. You've gotta work all day. 'Til you can hardly wait. Work all day. A little give and take.
