If people actually stopped for a minute and took a look at what is really going on they would see that the Republican party is anything but what they claim to be. He holds a DD from the University of Otago, a Masters Degree in Mathematics and was a minister in the Presbyterian Church of Aotearoa New Zealand and turned to theological teaching in 1956. He was tried and found not guilty of heresy in 1967 by the PCANZ. Geering is a controversial commentator on theological issues and considers Christian and Muslim fundamentalism to be a social evil. In 1967 Professor Geering gained a high profile when the Presbyterian Church charged him with heresy for his radical beliefs. During his "trial" he claimed that the remains of Jesus lay somewhere in Palestine, and that the resurrection had been wrongfully interpreted by churches as a resuscitation of the body of Jesus. He also rejects the notion that God is a supernatural being who created and continues to look over the world. He is a member of the Jesus Seminar and a participant in the program Living the Questions, an alternative to the Evangelical Alpha course; he is also a member of the Sea of Faith Network.

Bernie Goldberg and Sean Hannity played and discussed some recent newsclips showing how the media is covering Obama. They showed and discussed how Chris Mathews called MSNBC the network of "change" while anchoring their coverage of the inauguration. Everett McKinley Dirksen (January 4, 1896 September 7, 1969) was a Republican US Congressman and Senator from Pekin, Illinois. As Republican Senate leader he played a highly visible and key role in the politics of the 1960s, including helping to write and pass the Civil Rights Act of 1964 and the Open Housing Act of 1968, both landmarks of Civil Rights legislation. Dirksen served in the Senate from 1951 to 1969 and was seen quite often on the evening television news shows. His banter with newsmen Walter Cronkite and Roger Mudd and his unmistakable "raspy" voice made him famous throughout the country and the world. This video was shot in Southern Illinois in 1967 or 1968 and features a young reporter (CP Harding) from WSIU Television (Southern Illinois University) asking Senator Dirksen just one question for a proposed children's news program. Toward the end of the interview the reporter becomes concerned because he was getting a signal that they were almost out of film....and Senator Dirksen just kept talking.
