Stone partnered with Surfdog Records to release LP1 on July 26, 2011, through her own label Stone'd Records.[75] The album was recorded in Nashville, Tennessee in six days, where Stone co-wrote and co-produced the album with Eurythmics co-founder, David Stewart[76] The lead single, "Somehow", and was released on June 24, 2011.[77] Stone also joined the supergroup SuperHeavy which was formed by Mick Jagger of Rolling Stones, together with Dave Stewart, Damian Marley - youngest son of Bob Marley, and the Indian musician and producer AR Rahman.[78] The album was recorded at Jim Henson Studios in Los Angeles and will be released in 20 September 2011 by A&M Records. The debut single, "Miracle Worker", was released on 19 July 2011. Stone mentioned the upcoming release of "LP2" and an album she referred to as "The Soul Sessions 2", set for February 2012 and an unknown release date, respectively.[79]

Stone'd Records & Surfdog Records are proud to announce their partnership to release Joss Stone's next album, LP1 on July 26, 2011 (US & Rest of World) and August 1st (UK). As a world-renowned soul singer who Smokey Robinson calls "Aretha Joplin," Joss has sold over 11 million records globally. Having just turned 24, Joss has already amassed a career's worth of successes. She is also a Grammy winner, five-time Grammy nominee, and the recipient of two Brit Awards. Stone recently established her own label, Stone'd Records, hence the title of the first album to come out on the label, LP1, which is released in partnership with Surfdog. This is the first album Joss has recorded with total creative freedom. She co-wrote and co-produced it with super-producer and Eurythmics co-founder, Dave Stewart. Together they immersed themselves into a rock n' soul musical odyssey in Nashville, Tennessee. Joss Whedon recently spoke to SFX mag about the hulk, and ofcourse we have the details! The biggest question here is, what did it take to make the HULK, the HULK! He has been on the big screen 2 times already...what did they need to make the hulk right this time around. Joss said, "A Bruce Banner who's not obsessed with his own problems. A Hulk who not only feels flesh and blood, but is clearly an extension of Banner himself and not just a CGI thing that roars. A Hulk who feels dangerous, who might actually hurt someone we care about, who belongs in a classic horror film. And much more. He's the hardest character by far, and ended up being the most fun." Now on to the man BEHIND the green...what did mark ruffalo bring to the role? Whedon replied, " Mark is such a delightful mensch it's stupid. His Banner is a bunch of contradictions: graceful and awkward, meek and confident, erudite and working class, funny and sad. And contradictions are what the Banner/Hulk dynamic are all about. Also, Mark kinda looks like the Hulk. So we got to build our Hulk from him."
